  • That's Larry Larson, you can find his other videos on youtube as well, and his record is a 1/4 in 6.95

  • It shouldn't be a suprise that it's quarter mile isn't going to be "incredible". I'd like to see most kids on here try to take off in a 2000hp rear wheel drive car without spinnin the tires the entire strip. lol

  • 182 mph. I seriously doubt the thing is 2,000 bhp. Unless it has the aerodynamics of a steel wall and weighs a load.

  • Comment removed

  • so many people don't know there fact here. for a start this car does have 2000bhp and if you want proof just type in red victor one into the search bar and thats all the proof you need. this guy has spent most of his life working on this car so he deserves alot of credit.

  • fuckin so many fuckin retarded comments that i dont even know where to begin flaming

  • HE DOSENT AVE ENOUGH SPACE TO USE HIS FULL 2000 BHP U STUPID FUKING RETARD

  • fifth gear :)

  • 8.74, not 8 secs sham. that rounds to 9 not 8

  • i remember this car, guy said it did 0-60 in 1 second

  • ts red victor one it does 0-60 in a 1nd haha rapid

  • Red Victor 1:D

  • that is no way 482miles per hour...

  • 182?

  • @shady110 no dude 8.74 sec at 182mph

  • just search for 2000 hp street car und u will get ur documentation,,

    stupide donk..

  • how much tax does he have to pay ???

    2000$ per month?

  • @affenface it wud be in pounds

  • @affenface its tax excempt becoz ots more then 30 year old car

  • you would be right if you could show us wher i said that... but since you cant you proved your ignorance lol

  • lol, you still would consider something legal here legal even if its not legal in UK... typical ignorant ass

  • A car old enough can be issued a specific HVLP (Historic Vehicle License Plate) in the majority of the states, making it street legal regardless of what's under the hood. Please educate yourself before misinforming others.

  • it is street legal the old boy that owns it had an interview by 5th gear

  • @lilcow418 exactly

  • Actually some dude from britain built a chevelle with 1500hp, and it's street legal

  • multi, this car IS street legal.

  • give up its street legal, who cares wher its legal at, it is driven on the public street, so ther for its street legal...if we had a car only street legal here the same rules would apply

  • This car is road legal in the UK, from what i know it's been built by a man in Northampton has 9300cc twin turbo V8. From what i understand this car would be road legal in the USA, any vehicle modification as long as it is not a danger is legal as long as it is declared through the appropriate channels. Any questions?

  • bad driver i think 2000hp+ can like 7,5seconds or better

  • Bad driver. What a moronic comment.

Do you know how much the vehicle weighs, or its gearing, tyres, etc. FOOL.

It's street legal, and IS driven regularly on the roads. Pretty damned impressive for a home-built ,steel-bodied 40-year old family car I'd say. Let's see some of you dickheads do the same.

  • Uh... no... LEts see you hook up this car enough to run 7.5..

  • It has 2200hp -.-

  • to bad for american run

  • thats sad....over 2000hp an it runs a 8.74....like come on a 1400hp supra can run faster then that....Ryan Woons supra runs under 8 seconds an its only 1400hp

  • everyone knows American dragstrips slope downhill ;0)

  • ya but still a 2000hp car will run high 6's

  • that car was in england was it not???

i think i saw it 1nc on 5gear dunno lol

  • i didnt say enything rong thats only my openion why the thumbs down?

  • That's the Vauxhall Victor, isn't it? 2200bhp, 0-60 = 1 second.

  • Vectra*? like the nowdays "opel vectra" which is the same thing but a bit modified like this car

  • Nope, it's a Vauxhall Victor. This one is widely known as Red Victor One, or Red Victor Two (depending on which point in it's life you look at). Both versions are stupid fast, road legal, and built in some British man's garage.

Nothing road legal is faster. Yet.

  • your mom can go faster

  • no.

  • its red victor 1 :D

  • "Mageac" has a good point, being street legal isn't any use if you need high octane race gas and the engine can't run for more than a couple minutes at a time. The last winner of Hot Rod's street drags was an ugly-as-sin pink Chevy with a Lenco trans and two giant turbos, but it ran consistent high sevens and cruised on the highway track-to-track reliably on 2 year-old M/T tires. Now THAT's a genuinely streetable car. Just as long as you can work the Lenco.

  • Search "red victor one" on here. It is the guys daily driver. He even picks his son up from school in it.

  • Its red victor one!!

    saw this on fifth gear.

    awesome machine...

  • street legal and streetable are two different things... imagine trying to handle this at a 4 way!

  • i was at santapod then

  • the vauxhall victor lol!

  • ahhhhh what :-O what could sound better than a v8???

  • a V18 by Bugatti :P

  • you mean W18 quad turbo...twin Audi engines forged together to make it..and it sounds crap, cause it was designed for low noise output and a qoulity low sounding ride. I guess if you work the extractors, take of the many cats and put some sort of a/m less restricting exhuast on it it would scare the living shit out of most cars..

  • the bugatti veyron has a W16.

two v8's mated to eachother side-by-side.

  • I think very old V12 is pretty cool, but V8 is best. :)

  • what that sounds great you own a honda dont you

  • victor :)

  • Mitsubishi lancer making 9 secs?... in ur dreams lol...

  • sounds like fart!

  • it's done 6.9's

  • not it hasnt. Andy Frost (the Owner) set a new world record last season of 7.63 and later ran a slower ET but managed 194mph. those are its records. 6.9 is pro stock territory mate, do your research

  • i couldnt be fucked doing research, still a fuckin quick car, i dont think my mums car would even get 17 secs lol

  • dude wut kinda car ur mom got??

  • lol 1995 ford festiva

but we gettin a rav4, soo hope thats a bit quicker

  • Toyota Rav4 with 150hp petrol engine is really quick when you think on what the car is made for, and yes, I have driven one. Moms got a forrest green one xD

  • look man, its not my car. I was filming it. to be fair it did the 1/4 of a mile in under 7 secs

  • @romeoelcobra haha off course moron. 9 sec with 430bhp.

  • @romeoelcobra its power the weight ratio and also due to air, air becomes more harder to cut through at faster speeds making it take more time to get to its max speed and also causing its max speed by not being aero dynamic enough to put all its power to good use

  • @romeoelcobra maybe the track lenght

  • @romeoelcobra wheel spin with 2000 bhp ur gunna have loads of WS thumb s up if u agree

  • Shit car...

  • lol, i went to sant pod last year and saw this in the pits, you would fucking shit yourself if you saw under his bonnet, best engine i have ever seen, daft cunt, wot u got a corsa

  • hey leave corsas alone. my 5 door 1.2 corsa comfort would piss all over this. who needs 9.3 litres when u've got a pop-up reverse gear and sunglasses holder over the driver door! not forgettin the epic 70 bhp and 105 mph top speed (down a hill with the wind behind me)! yeee

  • it woz on fifth gear i think he brought it for 50 -100 £ in like 1980 painted it red and called it the red devil

  • wow

  • is that the vauxhall victor.

he lives up the road from me lol

  • it looks like it lol. that car is rediculous!
