  • I alway find the name "macaron" funny cause in polish "makaron" means "pasta".

  • @GreycatRademenes It's similar in Italian, too, because of the word "maccheroni"!

  • finally someone who pronounces it properly

  • These are italian macarons, not french.

  • @Nyppaa where is the difference?

  • Can Almond Flour be Replaced? And if so with what? can anyone answer please.{:

  • @RoseeLove25 You can use hazelnut meal

  • @RoseeLove25 You can use any nut meal you wish

  • I really want to make macarons but I don't have an electric mixer, just a regular wisk :( Can I still make it without the mixer and just by hand? Thank you so much in advance!

  • @spicythaaai The recipe calls for stiff egg whites, so you really need at least an electric beater! :-)

  • @spicythaaai I've made macarons with a regular whisk before. It takes a little while longer but it is possible!

  • @NerdyNailsbyNicole Thank you so much! :)

  • can i replace almond flour with peanut flour?

  • @tigerbalm007 I'm not sure peanut flour can be used as a substitute, but you can replace it with hazelnut meal/flour

  • Is almond flour same as Ground almond?

  • @yuping28 Yes, but it's made with peeled, blanched almonds

  • yum

  • perfection lol

  • I think I've done everything right; my batter wasn't runny when I piped it, but then why didn't my macaron have feet?

  • @oneshotoftequilla You must pay attention when you make the syrup, since any mistake would make the sugar too liquid and, therefore, the batter runny...

  • where can i find almond flour in the USA?? ;( plz tell me

  • @uyenquynhle You should be able to find it at natural food stores, or you can make it by yourself by processing the almonds (lightly toasted and peeled) until as fine as possible: in this case, take care to add the sugar to the almonds, so that it absorbs their oil

  • @yellowsaffron whole foods has it. Be ready to spend around 10 bucks for it.

  • @uyenquynhle The company Bob's Red Mill has it. It should be available to your grocery store in the baking needs aisle or the health food. It's labeled as Almond Meal/Flour (just so you aren't tripped up) and should cost around $10-$11. If all else, I guess you can order online. Also, I don't think it's impossible to make at home.

  • Am I the only one that caught the mistake where she said there 7 ounces in a cup ? It's 8 not 7.

  • @vinvinxoxo What do you mean? It's 200 g of white sugar, almond flour and powdered sugar, which is 7 oz. I used the ounce measurement instead of cups to stress the fact that it's exactly the same amount!

  • can we use regular flour???

  • @batocs101 No, but if you don't like almond you can replace with toasted hazelnut meal

  • @yellowsaffron why wont it work??? anyways.....can we just make a regular mirangue cookie then we make a sandwich out of it??

  • @batocs101 Of course you can, but it's not macarons!

  • @yellowsaffron how about using soybean meal? wil its work too?

  • @kuoee23 Actually I don't know, the true macarons are with almond or hazelnut flour...

  • @yellowsaffron almond=)

  • thanks alot

  • i can't get it wright in gram can someone give me the the way without gram

  • @pijo307cc In the ingredient box, there is also the amount in cups, tablespoons and teaspoons

  • helo, I just made it this afternoon, and I've waited for about 1.5 hours but the surface of macaroon does not dry, also I used parchment paper like you do, but it stick even it has cooled and I should wet the paper to take out the macaroon. Desperately need help here..

  • @Luksunshine It means that they did not bake for enough time, or the temperature wasn't right... every oven is different from the other, so I think you should adapt the temperature and times to your own

  • wow nice macaroon recipe/video too! i managed to make marble macaroons and came out very cute! please check my video too! arigato

  • @Kumigar Wow... send me your video as a response!

  • @yellowsaffron aww thank you! pls check :-) merci!

  • @yellowsaffron thank you so much!! arigato from Japan :-) xxx

  • Hi, if i want to make chocolate macarons, how many grams of cocoa powder do i put? :) thanks!

  • @MrCharmaine1234 Unluckily I didn't try to make the chocolate macarons, so I'm not so sure... I would suggest to use about 1-2 tbsp (10-15 g) of cocoa powder and subtract the same amount from the almond flour. Let me know how they come out! Of course, choose another filling, for example a chocolate custard (youtube.com/watch?v=qru0IwV-BZI), a plain custard (youtube.com/watch?v=gdNwa9SlmVY) or even a raspberry sauce!

  • lol!

  • WAAW.. this looks really easy :))

and I love that mixing machine,, where can I get the same? please tell me

  • @MsZooz1 You should find it in good kitchenware shops

  • Is she speaking hindi?

  • @lilacfunk LOOOL,, no she isnt,, i guess she is speaking Italian or Spanish

  • @MsZooz1 Lol, I know logically it's most likely Spanish. It just sounds weirdly like hindi to me and Sonia is a very common Hindi name.

  • @lilacfunk I'm Italian!!! You can have a look at our Italian website giallozafferano.it

  • where can we find this video in writings?

  • @KawaiiCafe99 We're still working on the English website! Meantime, you can find the writings in the description box

  • HI, I love all your video!!! :) I have a question regarding to macarons.

I have a oven without the fan and its a gas stove with the fire lit on the bottom of the oven is it ok to make macarons with it? Thank you for your time

  • yesterday i make french macarons after seeing this video and it turned good but only i've over cook..it turn small chocolate burning...goin to make it again.practice make perfect... ;)

  • Oh wow, you make it look so easy and it turned out so perfect...I'm going to try this!

  • "after 10 minutes open the oven door and leave it for 2 minutes more"

Do I have to turn off the oven when I leave it for 2 minutes?

  • thank u for d translation so considerate!

  • how can make my egg whites stiff like that when added sugar?tried it but failed..

  • @liloaleeya0909 We'll publish soon a tutorial about how to beat egg whites until stiff

  • i've tried 4 times with this recipe and it doesnt work.

  • @greiztgun If you follow the recipe strictly, it should work... perhaps the problem is the thermometer, it's really important to check the temperature

  • The person talking in the background is annoying!

  • This is the best video I've seen so far on how to make macarons!

  • this is vanilice on Serbian language and recepie

  • I noticed some receipes say to bake at 280F for 14minutes?

  • @msdaisypinkie 180*C

  • After the 4 failed attempt to make macaroons, I'm crossing my fingers that this video will make a perfect macaroon for me. I'm going to attempt to make over the weekend. But a few questions, just in case I mess up :)

    1) Do I mix almond flour and powdered sugar together first, then sift the mixture?

    2) Just making sure, I bake the macaroons at 350 for 10 minutes, and then open oven door for 2 minutes @ 350, then remove from oven???

    3) Do I need to tap the uncooked mixture to redure air bubble

  • @msdaisypinkie 1) Yes, first mix the flour with the sugar, then sift

    2) Yes, bake at 350° for 10 minutes, then open the oven and bake for 2 minutes more, then remove from the oven and let them cool

    3) You don't need to tap the baking pan, even if some recipes just need it, just let them rest when still uncooked

  • i like the new style of video!

  • I have been waiting for this forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • where could we get almond flour?

Is there any other substitute for lemon flavored fillings?

  • @alisoncheng123456 You can choose among many fillings, but the recipe isn't the same... for example you can use a good quality of jam or make a thick custard and change colour according to the filling

  • @alisoncheng123456 Bob's Red mill (organic flours and other products) in the USA has a great almond flour. You can use chocolate ganache, raspberry jam, lemon or lime curd, vanilla cream, etc. as fillings.

  • awesome video, the cookies look really good :D

  • How can I make raspberry macarons? Will raspberry taste good?

  • @lanaarte You can reduce the raspberries to a puree by heating and liquidizing them, add sugar to taste and a small amount of pectin and you'll have a raspberry fillling! Then, change the colour of the meringue as you like...

  • omg this is so delicious!!!

everytime i see your recipe videos on my suscription list i click immediately!!

  • i dont have a candy thermomator do u have any tips to get around this? can i still make it?

  • @ShinjuHoshi Unfortunately, in this case the thermometer is essential

  • PLEASE can you tell me how much time do you boil the syrup ? because i dont have a caramel thermometre ,...please answer

  • YAY~ I subscribe to the original channel as well and when I saw that they posted the macarons, I was so happy! And now I can understand it as well~ THANK YOU! ^.^

  • Wow! Those look goooooood :)-

  • Sonia's looking good!

  • any substitute for the almond flour? thanks!

  • @snidzify You can substitute it with nut flour, otherwise avoid it but you'll get plain meringues and not macarons...

  • @yellowsaffron thanks! looking forward for more great videos!

  • isn't it spelt "macaroon" ?

  • @adda89 macaroon is a rather different kind of cookie

  • @adda89 it's macaron..

  • @adda89 Macaroon uses coconuts and a different method of making....macaron is a french cookie demonstrated here

  • @Raees02 in london wherever i see these they're labelled "macaroons"

    excuse my confusion

  • @adda89 or well, i dont know what happened there.....lol

  • the new kitchen decoration is really lovely XXX

  • How can we prepare different fillings? For example, if I want to make strawberry macarons, should I use strawberry jam or purée?

  • @mertevenk You can use a good-quality jam and add a red colouring to the meringue

  • Good recipe! I will try it this weekend. :)

  • Wow, just in time. My friends have been raving about this and I've been wanting to make this ever since.

  • @FoodFling what a coincidence! Let me know how they came out... ;-)

  • @yellowsaffron BTW, I hope you don't mind me linking this video on my facebook, so my friends can see it.
