  • dude calling the wire a cable and telling us to put a wire here and there show us were it gos i cant even see were each wire gos and how do you set up the power supply

  • ok the remote wire is for ur AMP IF U HAVE ONE so it doesnt stay on when not in use, its not for controls in ur steering wheel!!!!

  • idk you might have a car stereo in ur room cause you have no car to put it in yet...DUMBASS "?"!!!!!

  • again i say too you noobs i have mastered this perfectly with 5 power supplys dont believe me check my vids

  • hey how do u pass the ignition switch i kno how to hoke everything else up but how do u pass the ignition switch or how do u jhoke it up

  • duh xm is cool and all but theres an easier way go to Pandora its internet radio its free and no wires plus you can search for you favorite bands without really needing to wait also it plays bands that are similar to the band you looked up. just a thought!

  • its easy get a computer power supply that is 250 watts or greater take ne black wire and cross it with a green on on the power supply that makes the power supply turn on. then take the red and yellow wire on ur radio and ne 2 yellow wires on the power supply hook all 4 together and then just hook the black grounds up. i have done it 100 time. i like to get the huge old fashion speaker boxes they are great for mounting the power supply and headunit it

  • can enyone help i used a dc 12v 500ma on my car stereo but it wont work is it becuse the stereo has 2 have the fuse init but i normally use drill battery last for like 15 mins so what shall i do

  • so u used a ac adepter not psu so is it safe

  • i need sum help

i just want power nuthin else hw do i get tha power do i need to buy sumthin

plaz comment me on my profieyeh

  • a battery

  • remote wire is for a AMP!!!!

  • yep :) remote wire powers up ur amp.... :)

  • i like the word ELTS instead of ELSE

  • do you know how to get radio using a PSU? because i have my amp and CD deck hooked up to it but idk how to get radio.

  • hey whats ur email

  • tracker[at]themodshop[dot]net

  • o and to hook up the speaker wires just look at the back of the head unit at the diagram and it should tell you what colors are what speakers make sure you dont cross becuase it may cause the radio to crackle and stuff but i will try to make a video

  • ok really people to get a car head unit to work in your house get a mll 12V car battery charger and connect te red alligator (+) to the red and yellow wire, then take the black and hook that up to the negitive wire its way easier then any body

  • Not very helpfull..ur not even telling us which wire to which color!!

  • I don't do this because every radio is different. So if I said this wire goes to this thing then it might not for the other model of radio

  • @born2fite everyone should know that yellow is power like for alot of things. black is ground as always and i will have to get back to you on the other wires because i dont have mine infront of me to tell u

  • also if your thinking about adding an amplifier for the blue remote wire .....you might need something alot stronger than the old portable DVD player adapter......it all matters on how many watts your amp is running but a 400 to 1000 watt computer power supply would be good.

  • I could have done that and just short out the 2 pins needed for such a thing. But I was just messing around dont have this hooked up any more..I plan to put that radio in my car here in a month or 2

  • a remote wire is not for a remote in your steering wheel or any remote for that matter. It is basically the on and off switch for your amplifiers.

  • Humm...did not know that :P

Didn't know that. Would help if I would read the instructions tho huh? :D

  • he said he was stil paying for the service..... hence why hte car stereo is in room

  • YOU SUCK!!!

  • its better than you shitty videos

  • Hi, how are you powering the radio? It's clear to me how you are doing that. What brand and model number of power supply are you using? Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Any power supply that outputs 12v with enough watts will work. In my case I used a old portable DVD player adapter.

  • ..so in other words you spliced the end of an AC Adapter???.....good video. I want to just try this in my basement....

  • More or less. Have to get one that can push enough power and then get the speakers. Not the hardest thing in the world to do :)

  • now why would I just give away my web account when I am paying for the xm service?

  • nope :P uses up to much bandwidth and my internet is already being used to much
