Cotto couldve kept the pressure of Margarito off of him If he wouldve use the jab correctly, picked his spots and not thrown so many punches so early. Now he cant even throw a jab because hes tired from those plus hes getting pounded with body shots. What wouldve made it even worse is the possibility of the gloves being loaded. @angel09121 if you pay attention you can see that cotto was getting battered baddly. since everything is done in close courters it's hard to see the punches that margarito lands anywhere he hits, it's going to do damage. not taking anything away from cotto the dude is a beast. and Rematch i think will be made but at 154 so we can see what happens

@ployeeeee You have a point, however, even in the early stages, Cotto was landing bomb after bomb and Margarito just ate them up. You cant put plaster on a chin.

@angel09121 IMO, this wasn't one of Lampley's better nighs. His commentating has been overwhelmingly pro-Cotto, even when AM was clearly hurting Cotto. Plus, honestly he just seems over-amped from the beginning (to me). Usually I like him as a fight-caller.

Well, the guys from the boxing comission were right there while he was getting his hand wrapped, so... they didn´t see it? Just like on mosley´s fight, the guys were right there... i don´t know... there´s something weird around this. Im a Cotto and Pacquiao fan, but i don´t know, i gotta a feeling this guy won at least this one clean.

was it ever proven conclusively by the authoritative boxing commission that margarito's hands were wrapped in plaster of paris FOR THIS MATCH, AGAINST COTTO, or are we speculating this shit? In any event, history has shown that ALL fighters who take a beating like this are never the same fighter afterwards...I've always bet against pacquaio and I've lost all those fucking bets...i'm not betting against manny this time.
