  • Doocey....LOL

  • FOX SPEWS

  • F... Fox news

  • Fuck, humans are too fucking stupid.

I'm gonna live in the woods. Bye everyone!

  • Frankly, Fox News bears false witness and presents it as truth. They should stand trial for this. Send those dirtbags to jail for lying to the republicans who watch it.

  • murdoch runs fox news and pushes his right wing agenda on the population. he has been doing this in britain for years. i dont object to it on a political basis, but the lies and distortion are morally wrong. trouble is, it seems the right wing nutters so easily fall for the bullshit!

  • you dont ad your interpratation of what a quote is saying in the middle of the quote...That is ridiculous

  • The republicans don't want public option for one reason...the ins comp and med complex wil lose money. Any other excuse is cover for the real reason.

  • For those who haven't figured it out, single-payer is the ONLY way to go when you have a ruthless, overpriced medical and pharmaceutical system that's been gouging for decades.

  • Universal healthcare exist in almost all modern European nations, and even some modern Asian nations with great success.

The key point of Universal Healthcare no matter how it is setup is to make sure the system is efficient. Some designs make sure the hospitals are run by physicians and not for-profit . Which means other than overall funding, medical decisions are decided strictly between the patient and their chosen doctors and facilities.

  • america = north korea

  • The government can not FUND anything without taking it from someone else. I am a school teacher and know for a fact that there are private options for people without health care. The government already uses my tax money to fund medicaid which is basic the "Public Option" already. The government needs to back off and stop trying to fix everything.

  • @firbrd326

    Hey Mr American!

Even been to Canada or the UK... maybe France?

One phrase: it fucking works here. And we have better mortality rates.

Public Sector Healthcare > Private Sector Healthcare

  • @ResiusOnline works? *laugh* i don't think that could happen you commi bastard grrr I mean sure your better in any respect but we are um... um... more american?

  • @ResiusOnline well i think france and canada still has the private sector also :)

  • @ResiusOnline I agree with you for the most part, but such a system will inevitably be more complicated to implement in a country with 330 million people and 30 million illegal aliens. Just saying, although I was in favor of a public option, saying we should just implement the same policies as Canada and expect the same results is an oversimplification.

  • @firbrd326 and do you know how much those private options cost??? didn't think so..... france has complete universal health care and has the #1 health care structure in the world, oh and they spend way way less on health care than the US hahaha.... you guys spend the most on health care and almost a 3rd of your people don't even have it, and another 3rd of your people get rejected by their health insurance company when they try and make a claim.....

  • Anyone who wants to argue that Fox is no more biased than cnn and msnbc just need to look at the pollings of Fox News viewers on a range of issues to see how missinformed these people are. Large majorities of Fox viewers also said that Obama has raised taxes, that the economy has shrunk since he took office, and that TARP will never be paid off. 0 for 3...I think that says a lot about the quality of information that Fox News disseminates

  • Now the Republicans are trying to repeal the healthcare, and they're still saying the same things.

  • Republicans are definitely misinformed because of Fox News. If all you watch is a network that constantly affirms your viewpoints, you're going to end up with some pretty childish level of understanding about the world.

On the second question, it's a long bill and I personally have better things to do than to read it, but Republicans purposefully muddied the facts by constantly talking about how many pages it was and using words like "Government-run health care"

  • You're really confused. No doubt the stations are pushing a different agenda to help the establishment GOP, but that doesn't mean they are wrong for saying "govt.ran health care". Could they be a little more percise in their definition of what they are trying to explain, absolutely. But Fox tries (and fails) to represent the conservative community in saying that government funding is no the way to go for ANY GOOD OR SERVICE. Private sector rights. Government support for insurance is the problem

  • Karl Rove runs FOX, what a crew, twisting truth is not entertainment it is a lie.

What an UGLY bunch of souls these fox people are, misleading good people.

How much is enough money for the greedy ?

  • Love the idea that you have to negotiate for limited heath cover with a lawyer present. No wonder the US health care costs so much. If you have a limited income and most people even in the US do why do they have to spend so much of their income on maintaining a private insurance based system which costs god knows how many billions of $'s yet does actual supply so much as an Aspirin?

  • You are bashing Fox news with a cheap word trick.

  • I see one big mistake in this video at 3:55. You are assuming that a government-run health SYSTEM is the same thing as a government-run HEALTH CARE. Correction: A Government run health systerm is not the same as a government run health care. A government-run system involves the doctors, hospitals, etc, like it says 4:20, but the government run healthcare is JUST the healthcare. Not once in this video did i hear fox say "government-run health SYSTEM" So government run healtch care is very real.

  • @slapadebass23

You really are a right-wingignorant idiot! You and all your racist right wing buddies make me sick. Scum.

    Become humane, become a Liberal!

  • @cisseshairdresser How does that have anything to do with what I said?

  • madhabber93, absolutely, and we all know regular private industry employees are a hell of a lot better than government employees

  • Like this cat's stuff. Gets to the point, and it's what `news' should be about: informing, not mis-informing folks. Cheers, bud.

  • so when all healthcare is paid for by government, what does that make the doctors? government employees basically, business 101 my friend, other than that decent video, just try not to be so biased next time and show the facts.

  • @user696969 So does that make doctors insurance company employee's then in the U.S.??

  • wtf is the line graph? is that like a running poll or something? loooks like a 12 year old kid with down syndrome trying to draw a line.

  • why should WE subsidize our congress person's healthcare if they are unwilling to help lower our healthcare costs? kind of hypocritical of bachmann and the others to expect us to pick up their tab.

  • Thank God I live in Canada. When I need a doctor I don't have to ask myself if I can pay for it.

  • all lies~~~~~~~

  • All the Health Care act does is expands Health Insurance for americans within the Private Insurance market. And puts in protections for consumers. It builds on Freedom of Choice for people who can't afford Health Insurance.

  • @FRSFreeStateES What about the freedom of the business? If firms are forced to pay for things that are not in their contract and take on more liability then the business has to increase prices. Consumers are still the ones paying the bill, it's just everyone has to pick up the slack while some businesses get rid of their health care for employees due to this rise.

This type of legislation, by people who propose bigger government, is what helps drive up costs. They don't understand economics.

  • @EmperorProzen

They still have it but what they can no longer do is to make money by hurting their customers. Like dropping people as soon as they need the insurance.

  • Comment removed

  • @FRSFreeStateES If customers have contracts then (depending on what the contract is) they shouldn't be allowed to drop them as they wish. If you are a customer of a firm for 13 years and then diagnosed with cancer they can't do that. If you were never a customer but you wanted to sign up AFTER you were diagnosed then they can deny you because you are a liability in the same way as insuring a teenager driver.

When government dictates how businesses should perform it negatively affects the market.

  • @EmperorProzen

Thats what the Affordable Care says that Health Insurers can't drop people just because they actually need the insurance. Its essentially a Patients Bill of Rights.

  • @FRSFreeStateES The Affordable Care Act is not a law which enforces contracts. Businesses had to honor them before the act was signed into law. The Affordable Care Act says that businesses cannot turn down people who are NOT ALREADY insured. In other words, if you do not currently have insurance (and don't say 45 million people because that number was inflated to make the problem look FAR worse than it really is) and you are a serious liability for a firm then you cannot be turned down.

  • @FRSFreeStateES Businesses get money from their customers. So when you think about it they are not paying for the treatments of those currently without coverage that are going to cost the firm a lot of money. The other customers (the ones who pay a lot and help the firm stay in business) who are footing the bill. If businesses perform practices which are "unethical" (violating contracts, not denying coverage to those who aren't already covered) then people will go somewhere else for coverage.

  • @FRSFreeStateES I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to help those who need coverage the most (people with cancer, diabetes, illnesses like AIDS etc...). However, more laws and regulation is not the way to do it. Deregulation and removal of restrictions will reduce the costs of being in the health care industry thereby alleviating pressure on the customers.

While it is true that some industries like electricity need lots of regulation most industries don't. This is one of those that doesn't need this much.

  • @EmperorProzen

Are you saying people haven't kicked off of their Health Insurance once they got sick?

  • @FRSFreeStateES Hmm, that should not happen in that situation, but I do not know the circumstances and all of the important details of the case. For example, if I said, "is it illegal to kill six people if they aggressively storm into your house and go after you."

The answer to that question is, no. However, if I said later that those people were police officers who had a search warrant, then that changes the situation entirely. It goes from not guilty due to self-defense to capital punishment.

  • @EmperorProzen

I'll take that as a yes that you are aware of that. Even though you said by law its illegal.

  • @FRSFreeStateES I have yet to see proof of it and besides, this would be considered an issue for individuals rather than something that entitles the government to change the rules of the system.

Forcing a business to increase the risk of being in business by trying to help a few individuals, over a problem which should be labeled as personal, is unethical?

Isn't that what created the Sub-prime Mortgage Crisis; by telling the banks to give out loans to low income families? (Obama suing Citibank)

  • @EmperorProzen

If thats the case, then in all due respect I suggest that your under informed about people who have lost their Health Insurance because they needed it.

  • @FRSFreeStateES When people search for an insurance provider (a job benefit or community program) he/she signs up and has a contract which is negotiated. This stipulates the terms between customer and insurance provider. When people choose to sacrifice certain types of coverage and conditions for the sake of decreasing cost then you get whatever the provider is allowed to do. If you want to avoid this then make sure you are okay with all of the terms. Have a lawyer present, they fight for you.

  • @EmperorProzen

You've made this point before. But I'm telling you have been dump from their Health Insurance because they've gotten sick. And their Health Insurance provider thought they were too expensive.

  • @FRSFreeStateES I agree that this is a problem which needs to be solved. However, Obama's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is not the answer. The situation of health care providers dumping their customers, which are already signed up, because they are too much of a liability is (I know this analogy is far from perfect) kind of like murder. What I mean by this is that it is something that happens often and is a personal issue. The PPACA legislation drives up the price of health care.

  • @EmperorProzen

Thank you I think I'm finally getting through. I thought I was speaking in Common Sense. Fine you disagree with the Affordable Care Act. You've made that clear but thats essentially what it is a Patients Bill of Rights. If people can pay for their Health Insurance, they should be able to keep. Thats what it is.

  • @FRSFreeStateES The individuals who are dumped need to fight the business and get help from lawyers and maybe (depending on the circumstances of the situation) get the judicial branch of government involved. These are more along the lines of multiple isolated incidences rather than a problem which requires legislation to be made, such as replacing our federal tax system with the FairTax system (which would solve virtually all of the financial conflicts of this nation other than pork spending).

  • Fuck man, how hard is it to grasp this? It's PUBLIC (as in for and paid by the public) OPTION (it is NOT mandatory).

You don't like any health insurance providers? Ok, the government offers health insurance too, and it's cheaper. You want it? Yeah, that's public option.

Labeling it "Government-run aspect" won't change that. Why can't we just explain this shit properly so people can understand it and get this shit passed already.

  • Slow down a ittle hot shot. You have 10 minutes to get it all out

  • Frank Luntz is human garbage.

  • how come noone has bombed the fox new network building yet? Those guys are like the Nazi propaganda machine in WWII where they said that America is KAPUT.

  • @catch22af What are you talking about? The Fox News' audience is made up of mostly Conservatives and libertarians. It is not their intention to promote violence or tell people how to live their lives because they support life, liberty, and property. The Republican party was founded because the Democratic and Whig parties didn't want to end slavery.

It's the left-wingers who say things like "Americans are stupid" while advocate bigger government, more regulation, higher taxes, and more spending.

  • you're a liar, quoting a liar.

  • honored to be the top rated comment

  • @GovernmentSham912 I gave it another thumbs up. :)

  • errm... Didn't Obama and other democrats say that their ultimate goal is to bankrupt private insurance companies?

  • please take a drink sounds like you mouth is horribly dry

  • somebody get a rope ,we have work to do. we start with the guy that owns fix news

  • Fox says

In liberal US, healthcare kills you

  • first question, yes, 2nd question, HELL YES

  • The answer is yes. It is almost 2011 and they STILL think that what was passed, even with no public option, is a single-payer socialized complete government takeover. You can see that on many of the pages here and elsewhere. They call it "Obamacare" and think it represents the end of freedom in America. Why are they going so crazy? Well, they weren't this bad before. Not even under Clinton. They made up no "Death Panel" lies before.

  • @xJoeEDangerouslyx They weren't made up, the man who Obama is putting in charge to run this wrote an essay that the only people he would allow treatment for would be those age 15-40, and even then they would have to review you before getting treatment... Sounds like death panels to me...

  • youtube.com/user/TheMidnightdrunk?feature=mhum#p/a/u/0/bYksme7cdao

  • So what makes them go so nuts about Obama? What's the difference between now and every other period in modern times? What's the difference between Obama and every other president? There is something else going on here, and I think we all have a pretty good idea of what it is.

  • Does America have any media outlets TV, Radio, Press etc that can be relied on to supply News or ensure any debate is presented in a genuinely politically neutral way? Or is it just a collection of corporate owned companies more interested in there ratings than ensuring that the US citizen is given quality information?

  • Rachel Maddow is just as much a butt munch as all the other talking heads out there. Anybody who uses her as an authority or even a "believable" source is as much a fraud as she is.

  • Fox News is a fucking joke. If I was a proud American I would not sleep well at night until that evil bullshit was put to a stop.

  • I meant to say *weighs 350 pounds*

  • Anyone who thinks a single payer system is socialism should have to pay the fire department to put out their house and have to pay the police to report something. If there is something right about firefighters saving lives that makes it worthy of everyone having such a service, why not having doctors? What is the difference, really? No it is not a slippery slope, so don't even make that retarded argument.

  • @gopalakartik hm, maybe if they abuse those systems, I'd agree. For example if somebody purposely starts a fire, he should pay a fine and/or do jail time, or if someone prank calls 9/11 or spreads misinformation to police the same should happen. Now let's take a look at the health system, if someone eats too many big macs, weighs and has to buy expensive heart medication, and expensive insulin so he can manage his diabetes why should everyone else has to pay for his own mess?

  • Same thing for a drunk driver, same thing for someone who smokes too many cigarettes, and other countless things people can prevent. What most people fail to realize is putting a hose to a fire doesn't take 10 years of expensive education to learn how to do. Also it's not as nearly expensive and doesn't involve expensive drugs and 90% of the time people can't help fires. Healthcare on the other hand is a subject with a huge gray area and not everything should be covered for free because of cost.

  • @Depravedmaniac666 One thing I would just like to throw in there, is that when you use expensive when talking about drugs, etc, you are talking from a consumer standpoint. Realistically, when the government is the one doing the buying it is a LOT cheaper. Canada, my country of origin, pays 1/3 the amt the US government pays per person for healthcare, and gets nothing for it.

  • @Depravedmaniac666 Realistically, if the US govt could just have control over their healthcare spending it would be nice, however, they are not the ones determining the cost or in control. That would be the insurance companies. Oh and anyone who believes in that bureaucrat between you and your healthcare or believes in death panels is an idiot. The insurance companies already do that to drive up costs and not cover people.

  • @Depravedmaniac666 More to your points, if you look at economics on a large enough scale, it actually costs more money to determine if individual people deserve their fires out, or for that matter if individual people deserve the healthcare. Of course, when you have a vested interest in NOT providing the service, as insurance companies do, the cost is made back. However, that is not the case on a single payer system, so everyone is covered. Point taken though..if we were in utopia.

  • @nudaydawning Churches have a big enough job on looking after your soul they should not be responsible for your kidneys. Why not just have UHC in the US it's so much simpler and cheaper than all your insurance based rubbish.

  • more lib lies nov. baby your done

  • If obama care works to the fullest vision of democrats/socialists/communists everywhere, it saves us all money, it saves lives, and it's the talk of the entire planet, it still isn't for a free people. It is never right to steal from one to give to another.

  • @ShuffsPrk Luckily for you you choose to live in a Free Democratic Capitalist, Socialist, Liberal, Nation and will never have a Government "steal from one to give to the other". By choosing to be a citizen you have chosen to except the rules that govern the privilege to being a citizen .One rule is you choose has an individual to give up the right which tax (you have not given up the right to complain about it) you can pay. Being a citizen you cannot "pickandmix" which laws you choose to obey.

  • No I don't think that fox "news" has any responsability,to be responsable you have to have some credibility also who's responsable if a monkey gets ahold of a loaded gun?

  • I just think its totally funny how Fox never talks about Republican Romney Care we have here in Massachusetts, its just like Obama care but Faux never talks about it,republicans never talk about it no one seems to talk about it and we have had it for several years now along with gay marriage and guess what, the state is still here doing fine, house prices are going up,jobs are coming back,we don't have all the hate like other parts of the country. We also don't let houses burn down for $75 fees.

  • americans should watch the BBC

( yes i know its british and being american alot of you are xenophobic )

BUT it is world respected as being the truest source of news because there is no profit motive . . . abit like socialized healthcare.

    WAIT I DIDNT JUST SAY . . . . . SOCIALIZED! :O

a word not understood by most because it has been passed down from a generation where in school the government forced them to watch propoganda on why socialists are EVIL.

  • @mapnxyaha2k10

You government hand holders always give me good laugh :)

  • you ripped off retards make me laugh alot more

  • Yeah but it's fox. Fox News. That's like thinking Captain Crunch is an actual naval captain.

  • I envision a health care system that:

-is AFFORDABLE TO ALL INCOMES while obtaining higher quality

-is not financed via taxing the upper class

-has no waiting lines for scheduling operations/scans which were deemed by government bureaucracies as minor in importance

-retains doctor-patient confidentiality is not infringed upon by government bureaucracies

Obtaining all of this is not impossible. However, it can only be achieved via less government involvement. Not counting tort reform of course.

  • They should of course be pushing for real health care reform. All the extra months of debate and additions made by the Democrats for the Republicans and when push came to shove none of the Republicans would still vote for the bill. The Democrats are going to get voted out because of it anyway, so why bother trying to offer the olive branch when they're hands are already clasped around a gun?

  • If this argument about Health care is really about your fellow man then why, If I can provide for myself and prove it, can I not opt out of the tax increases? Just like social security. If I have a private plan for my retirement why can I not opt out of it? Why must I pay for something I will never use? What people do with their labors is their business. I was homeless from 13 to 19. Where were you guys then? I got myself of the streets with the help of individuals not government.

  • @TheWazzFamily If you could opt out then health care cost would sky rocket. Their has to be a balance to keep health care companies in business and at the sametime, provide health care too all.

  • @numerical25 Why must we provide health care to all?

  • @TheWazzFamily Honestly I dont we should. But we all know that capitalism is not the key to everything because of greed. If our judicial system, education, and police department was ran in capitalism we would be screwed. Apparently this falls the same for health care.

  • @TheWazzFamily The idea is to allow all Americans to act freely without worrying over major healthcare costs. If healthcare is provided to all, then people can reach their fullest potential instead of being beaten down by healthcare costs, or taking a crap job that generates nothing meaningful just because its a way to get coverage. If all americans are able to work to their fullest potential, the country grows stronger and more powerful.

Or you can let your country wither and die. Up to you

  • @demonicfork lol really? Show me a Socialized Health care system that works and doesn't drive down availability and drive up cost.

  • Fox is like a weather man, who is wrong every time but yet his viewers still trust what he tells them.

  • @GovernmentSham912 You have to back up claims with facts. Besides, if they’re so evil and deceitful then why do ALL of their anchors have more viewers than all other news anchors?

The government is already spending more money faster than any other human entity on the planet, and you want to add another out of control program. How does that work out?

The whole reason health care is expensive in the first place is because of government involvement. More government is not the solution.

  • @EmperorProzen

    Depending on which anchors.

Death panels, abortion funding, and illegal immigrants getting health care. Who was the source of this misinformation? There are enough problems with the health care bill. These are not them. We have to win this fight with facts and actually know what it is what we're fighting about.

  • @GovernmentSham912 Abortion funding I have no opinion on whether that is true or not. I do know there are people who believe that illegal immigrants should have all of the same rights and liberties as full-fledged citizens and people will distort the truth to help them achieve this status. For example there is an episode of Family Guy S6 E6 "Padre de Familia". Peter is supposedly an illegal immigrant because he was born in Mexico. However, under his circumstances he would have dual citizenship.

  • @GovernmentSham912 No, I mean all Fox anchors have the top positions followed by Keith Olberman etc... Larry King was the only CNN to make the list.

I do not know much about the abortion funding situation but it would not surprise me if it is/isn't true. Just look at the way in which health care reform was passed. (bribing of Ben Nelson the senator of Nebraska).

Think about it for a second, if the Health Care Plan is SO GOOD why have these secretive, backroom negotiations and not be more open?

  • @EmperorProzen Because the American people are afraid of anything left wing with a zealotry unrivaled across the world and many of your political leaders are just as ignorant?

If i even SAY socialist to a republican their blood pressure goes up. Its like its America's boogeyman. Instead of looking at the positives of both sides of the political spectrum, they cling to the outdated cold war mentality of hatred for the left. Thats why its done in secret. Because people are stupid and afraid

  • @demonicfork When you are committed to using the government to get everything done while incorporating more and more taxes to fund it, you are committed to using force. How can you do good with someone else's money unless you first take it away from them? This contradicts every fabric of freedom and the pursuit of happiness. That is why people hate socialism. Benjamin Franklin once said,

"The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself."

  • @demonicfork Government spending is already WAY OUT OF CONTROL! It is outrageous that people support more public spending at a time like this.

The U.S. government punishes success via progressive taxation (an example of taxation without representation) while rewarding poverty via entitlement programs and welfare programs. These encourage unnatural behavior such as: families having children then can't take care of for more subsidies or getting a high interest rate mortgage for tax deductibles.

  • @demonicfork Your analogy about handicapped people does not take into account a few things. 1) The difference between helping people support themselves and helping people become dependent on foreign aid. 2) Reserving a few parking spaces for disabled people is a lot easier than creating an entitlement program that cannot be removed. Nor does it encourage people to hurt themselves to get them. 3) The government does not manage resources as well the private sector and is riddled with fraud.

  • @demonicfork 4) Government programs result in: misallocation of resources, more corruption, not to mention ENORMOUS WASTE.

The Department of Education and ethanol research subsidies, which caused numerous economic problems, were both given billions in subsidies and yet neither has made any real progress. 5) Every dollar the government spends is a dollar it has to TAKE AWAY from someone else. Nothing given by government is free or charity because charity is freely giving.

  • @GovernmentSham912 Republicans published their own bill, which was summarily ignored by the main stream media, and have tried to include dozens of amendments and to the House and Senate bills, only to have them disallowed by Pelosi and Reid. They closed out of any of the discussions dealing with the structure of health care bills. Democrats couldn't get their own party members to vote for this atrocity when they had a supermajority. This bill will increase health care costs, taxes, and premiums.

  • Fox is like Goebells it creates insane lies and stories to brainwash an audience of idiots who will follow through any situation

  • In every civilised western country these days we have health care.

In the eyes of the rest of the western world the USA is basically in the dark ages in this respect.

A government should take care of it's population Health care is pretty important for that.

  • Comment removed

  • @thedutchman01 That is true; pretty much all European countries have universal health care systems. That is why Germany and Britain have already begun to privatize them due to their negative side effects.

If the government runs the health care industry then everyone who works in it is paid by the government. Public sector employees are paid via taxes on the private sector. If the private sector shrinks the amount of wealth for both sectors decreases and GDP is lowered.

  • @EmperorProzen

You do... ofcourse know that Germany and Britain have a higher net income per capita right?

So not sure what you are pointing at here...

Please clarify before I start spewing nonsense.

  • @thedutchman01 Maybe that date was collected for a different year.

The date which I listed was for the year 2006 and it lists the United States as having the second highest income per capita of the ones shown, following Switzerland. As a side note, the United Kingdom, Italy, Greece, along with a number of other important countries were not included in the graph.

I got this information from my Macroeconomics college textbook and it identifies its source as World Bank.

  • @EmperorProzen care to give a source for the uk to get privatised, cause i kinda live there and hav heard nothing about it, also doesn't help that david cameroon said the cuts to the nhs would be minimal.

  • @eg0u80bf I heard from someone who lives in the UK that they are working towards having a private sector health care industry. Below are some links on the subject...

    wsws.org/articles/2005/feb2005/nahs-f08.shtml

    guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2008/mar/18/health.nhs

  • @EmperorProzen We do have "private sector health care industry" in the UK. IF you are talking about the UHC system known as the NHS there are no plans to privatise it but it might undergo one of its periodic changes in the way the funding is to be allocated. IT will still remain a tax funded, single payer, cost effective way of suppling all citizens will health cover. So Why have Private insurance? It will supply a higher standard of accommodation and food in some areas you will be seen quicker

  • @davijeph So having a national health care system does deteriorate the quality within the industry. Because if the UK already has a national health care system which is as wonder as all of the socialists are making it out to be, what is the point of buying private sector insurance?

During the H1N1 vaccinations there were waiting lines that put roller-coasters to shame.

Government is not the solution to overpriced health care (among many other things); government is the problem.

  • @EmperorProzen Who exactly was waiting in line for H1N1 in the UK? I have tried to explain why we have both a UHC and a private health insurance scheme. The NHS ensures a high quality of health care for ALL citizens unlike the US. No one in the UK fears health care costs, No one will go bankrupt, It and other equivalent UHC user countries are proven to be superior to the corrupt US system please watch.“the U.S. Healthcare system in international Context:” Regards

  • @davijeph I was referring to the U.S., not the UK when I mentioned the H1N1 virus. Going universal from our current health care system will not only cost more money but worsen the problems seen during the Swine Flu.

One of the mistakes people make with economics is that they use principles or policies which may work well on a small scale but not on a larger one. In other words, universal health care may be good in the UK but it will not do America justice.

  • @EmperorProzen (1) Now if you ask one of your major health insurance companies in the US which would they prefer to be a small company or large companies in terms of cost effective supply and for profits, which do you, think they will go for? One of the problems with this kind of debate is we both will have different experiences of how health care works. I assume you are from a reasonably comfortable home and can safely afford good quality care and that’s great.

  • @EmperorProzen (2) If you cannot get (pre-condition) or for whatever reason cannot afford health costs then how in a civilized country like the US can those people be expected pay for their care. I know a little bit on how your Medicare and Medicaid systems seem to work and all I see are comments they are expensive and should be scraped. By having UHC everybody pays into it and one way or another everybody, rich or poor benefits even those that choose to pay for private insurance. Regards

  • @EmperorProzen Your against long waits for a single shot? Well how many vaccination centers did you want to have them set up? No one was dieing in line, and they all got their vaccination. What your saying is that its better for people who cant afford healthcare to not have it so that the lines stay down?

Sweet, we may have shorter lines, but death rates go up. That's like saying handicapped people shouldnt be allowed to have parking spaces because it makes your walk into the building longer.

  • USSR = Communist sent socialists to the Gulags.

Peoples Republic of China +Ditto USSR

National Socialist German Workers' Party= Hated Communists and socialists both groups were sent to the concentration or work camps

Some people who get their history from Glenn Beck should just stop.

  • I think you have soo much solid evidence, that you could take faux news to court for misleading the public into being terrified. Isn't that a form of terrorism.

  • As an American now living in Ireland I can tell you that the US is a laughing stock. The corporate media won't tell you that. They can't beleive how quickly Americans are to abandon the fellow citizens in times of need.

  • Bla Bla Bla....are you for bigger government with a reunaway deficit, or personal responcibility and prosperity?

  • It's amazing how many Americans are happy to deny their fellow citizens the "right" to health care yet seem to have the Bible as their favourite book. Please don't tell me universal health care is not mentioned in the Bible, neither are stealth bombers but you seem happy to pay for them

  • @davijeph well... would rather have the government build you a sub standard bomber, the same one they build for everyone, or would you rather have the choice of different companies to build you a stealth bomber, companies competing to build you the best bomber available one that might be more suited to your needs...

    and secondly... dumbass.

  • @SargentandGreenLeaf Firstly I don't care who builds the stealth bomber but I care that everybody gets protection from it. Just to make it simple for you, for "stealth bomber" read UHC and secondly.... Double dumbass.

  • @SargentandGreenLeaf do you know how the government decides what kind of bomber we have? It goes to the lowest bidder you idiot. So you can say it is a sub par bomber in comparison to the more expensive option however as long as it gets the job done, it's good enough. and that's typical military mentality right there.

  • @SargentandGreenLeaf soo here's what the government does, say the government needs a bag to put all its stuff in. Their option is a Louie Vuitton bag, a walmart hand bag, and a regular plastic bag. And these things pretty much accomplish the same task but of course the regular plastic bag is the cheapest..Guess which bag will the government choose.

  • @SargentandGreenLeaf You are the typical American, who is brainwashed to believe that Capitalism= good always. Every ideology have a flaw in it, and that includes your precious capitalism, the sooner you stop being in denial about it the sooner we can solve the problems of the world and our country. I'm not saying socialism is better, i'm saying use some critical thinking and read and understand ideas.

  • Republicans and Tea Baggers are shills for the multimillion-dollar Insurance interests as well as the "Old Money" Oligarchy that together choke the shit out of regular Americans, ruining the economy at our expense. If you can think for yourself, you have reached the same conclusion independently.

  • @FulinYu Hahahahaha You mean Obama forcing everyone to buy health insurance from Health Insurance companies is not?

  • The chick from Fox News is hot....killer legs!

  • Well, that gives a little insight into the "public option" thing there, which I didnt know much about at all.

As for Fox News, screw them, they invent a new truth every single time their infimally little heads cannot wrap around an unfamiliar topic or situation, most of them there ignore the difference in the health care propositions mentioned here, and I have my doubts theyd get it if they were smacked in the face with it.

  • i agree with the last sentence..you dont need no damn republican votes!..just pass the bill..

  • @slivercord Yeah, just be sure that no one reads it. Otherwise, no one will vote for it.

That is why it is over 1,400 pages long and its end result will make health care insurance even more expensive.

If you want to know about health care first learn about history and then learn about economics. After you do that it is self-explanatory.

  • that bicth is the women in an moron male sandwich daily show

  • I think i just threw up

  • yes!

  • People care more about morality than money. It's sad

  • In answer to your questions, Duh.

To bad they didn’t realize it.

  • Government is already in charge of our health care. It's one of the most heavily regulated industries in the country. You are a political hack. You have a poor understanding of this issue because you have a poor understanding of economics. When a government provides a service it always relies on coercion, which naturally destroys competition, and makes the lives of consumers worse than they otherwise would be. Unless you study free market Austrian economics you will remain ignorant.

  • @truthadvocate

Thanks for the nice slice of false alternatives. You state the opposite as true, providing no evidence to support your claims. It's childish and silly. When you refer to coercion and economics, you're not refering to ANY substantive areas of study or theories. The type of economics you refer to shows that governments cannot viably compete with private corporations due to economics, not some political fantasy about the myth of coercion. Private companies due that well enough.

  • @robinhoodOO7,

Coercion is a myth??? Interesting. So when the government locks people in jail for the rest of their life for not paying taxes, that's just a vacation?

Is the FDA just a figment of my imagination?

Do you really think our government is capable of setting up a health care insurance program that will magically break even without imposing any debt onto future tax payers? The government didn't create a 13 trillion dollar national debt by being a responsible book keeper.

  • @truthadvocate

To even give you the benefit of the doubt would assume your statements are mere intellectual masterbation, but there is nothing intellectual there. You associate economics with fantastical ideas you can't show proof of, only baseless assumptions. Regulation doesn't necessarily mean coercion. Analogy: If I as a person break a law, I may be fired from my job or go to jail, is this coercion? Similarly with laws and regulations re FDA. Your associates degree in Econ isn't helping.

  • @robinhoodOO7,

Being fired from your job is not coercion. A voluntary exchange of labor for money requires both parties to consent. As soon as one party does not consent, a voluntary exchange can no longer exist. You can quit. Your employer can quit.

Regulation is not coercion if the regulation is followed voluntarily. But regulation in the United States is not followed voluntarily. It is force upon people. That's coercion.

  • @truthadvocate

You're being absurd and misrepresenting my point out of this absurdity.

There are laws and regulations that Americans as citizens must follow and obey. IE paying taxes. Not paying your taxes is irresponsible, and a consequence exists, one that everyone is aware of. This is not coercion.

You're fabricating details, and making up definitions out of your own fantastical beliefs. It's almost unAmerican, and very much so sad.

  • @robinhoodOO7,

According to merriam-webster, One of the main definitions for "coerce" is to achieve by force or threat. That certainly applies to regulation. People in the government want others to behave a certain way. They achieve their desired objective by threatening the people with fines (theft), arrest (kidnapping), and imprisonment (forcing people into a cage).

What does "unAmerican" mean? I'm not following the herd?

  • If Christian values are to love thy neighbor, give to charity, take care of the least amongst us, work hard, have a virtuous life....should they ALL be socialists?

  • Should the democrats "Go ahead with real health insurance reform"? Liberalviewer i know your heart is in the right place but we live in a plutocracy. The new healthcare bill is a huge win for Corporations and will force people to buy private health insurance. It is also designed to eventually phase out medicaid. Please watch this video if you want more than a Liberal Complaint. Here is a more radical analysis of "Obamacare" from Realnewsnetwork

    watch?v=zhGzTeDU78A

  • You are an idiot. Can you read between the lines? Can you put two and two together and come up with four or do you believe Obama when h tells you is that it is three?

REA:ITY is already setting in. The bill costs far more than Obama told you. Companies are already dropping health insurance.

The good news is that the public is starting to wake up and realize that Obama comes from the Marxist wing of the Democratic Party.

  • we shouldn't all be dependent on the government,

  • 1:30 it was actually over 50% of americans that don't wqant the bill. he never made the statement that 50% are republicans. he was obviously referring to the fact that half of americans didn't like it at the time and that the republicans in the study were reflecting the views of half the country. there are so many reasons fox sucks, you don't have to dig too deep

  • My question to everyone here is have you read the bill?

If not shut the fuck up, because you dont know what misinformation to real information is...

  • @jdlmbgh

Your own question back at you. I have gone and read the parts that were supposedly bad. I was not surprised to see that the claims made were utter misrepresented out of context bullshit.

  • Can someone please tell me simply what the problem is with having an "option"? Say you have a pencil, you like your pencil. Now I offer you an option to use another pencil. Are you going to jump down my throat and say I'm trying to take over all the pencil manufacturing? I don't get this. I just don't. How are conservatives taking "government healthcare option" and turning it into "government healthcare takeover"?

  • Wait until you grow up and realize you have no money - Obamacare took it away!

  • @bopjackdaddy41 Too late The previous administration took it, wake up dude.

  • @bopjackdaddy41

So we continue to take from the future? When grow up and have children of your own and they give 70% of their income to local, state and federal taxes, you think back to these comments!

  • The Government controlling prices and wages is controlling Health Care

  • @Animehound1 On your channel 23 march u say you're unemployed. I feel for you. But please I ask you on the left to consider the difference between IMAGINARY generosity and ACTUAL GENEROSITY. The former is when you IMAGINE yourself having lots of money and then IMAGINE yourself as a regular Santa Claus giving to the community & "your employees" as you put it. ACTUAL generosity is when you open your wallet with what you have NOW and ACTUALLY FORK IT OVER. Do you catch the distinction?

  • Of course Faux News is responsible for the misinformed Republican masses. Faux News is the same news channel that constantly retells stories about how this one guy in Canada had to wait 15 months for his surgery, yet leaves out the horrors of the American healthcare system. Which includes a man sitting in a waiting room for 2 hours with his finger hanging on by the thread of the skin.
