The sheet music for this song yesterday and have been working on it for about an hour and a half. This video motivates me to work a little harder and put a little more effort in, because this song is truly moving and beautiful. sri it took so long to reply. I had a cheap keyboard that had a screen that showed you the key to play and once i'd memorized the song i found the sheet music for it to see what it looked like on paper, then used that as a guide to learn more and more songs until i got to where i'm at now. im working on a few others now, i've my own song i wrote for my mom the will go up soon iit's almost 8 minutes long, as well as oltremare by ludivico euanidi, and harmony grove by greg maroney

nice playing you have really good feeling when playing piano.there are few things wich made this not PERFECT.

1.Some parts where really to fast just be carefull to not increase the speed so much

2.You should make some good use of the pedal it would give the song an even better sound.

hey thanks. I was wearing head phones with the mp3 playing while a was recording this, and I think I fell behind a bit and had to catch back up. I see what you are saying though, I watched and listened to the bass and heard it was to fast t points, not much though. say if the tempo was 80 I was doing between 83 and 86 at times. I always hear about my foot work. Not having any formal training I just wing it.

Nice rendition! A few fumbles but you covered them well and the heart of the piece remains solid. The biggest challenge with this piece is making each passage sound unique. So I would say the next step here is to make that happen. Listen to yourself play and hear where the music should rise and fall. Even smaller passages have their own climaxes.

Overall, though, good work! You do this piece justice.

Practice practice practice! That's the best solution. Just play it until you hate it (then you know you've practiced enough).

I'll give you some examples of what I was saying:

1:27 There's a dramatic increase in speed, here. Take your time on those top notes so that the whole section doesn't rush. It was better the 2nd time it happened.

2:11 I like your tempo changes here. I also hear a sort of "call and response" line here with the repeated notes that could be done. (Again at 2:27)

i had same prob at first. this how i did it listen to song on headfones while playing just the right hand and play along until u get it perfect and keep doing that until u begin to hate the song. so when ever u play it ur muscle memory will automaticall play at that speed everytime then try to blend the left hand into it even if it just a key at time then add another and another etc.

It's great. I"m obssesed with it too, the only problem is that I can't play piano quite yet and I don't have one. So I learn by sound on my chorus teacher's piano at school. This is one of my favorite songs! Playing piano is a hard enough thing with piano lessons. But playing like you are with no lessons is something everyone shoudl be impressed with. What your doing is beautiful.

I think people should always encourage others especially if they show as much natural talent as you do.
