It's true, I was wrong. At the time, I was thinking of his "You Send Me" album, which was released in 1978. To be exact, the album came out in January 1975.
It makes you think of Roy Ayres, doesn't it? I don't know if he ever recorded or wrote this or not, but it sounds like he strongly influenced this piece. He had to be a forerunner of acid jazz !!

Yea, it really is a Roy Ayers tune. He made it years ago, in about 1978.
