OMFG!!! I wish I knew they could get so tame!! I had a hummingbird stuck in my kitchen once and after some hours we finally got it to fly out on the porch, by that time it had gotten used to our presence and I could go within a couple inches of it. If I knew they could be like this I would have tried feeding it so it would get even more used to me, maybe stick around on our porch longer :(

I have never seen a hummingbird do that before!!! I used to take pictures years ago from the top of a log right next to the feeder in my backyard in Colorado and never did one of them decide to want to land on my shoulder!!  Unbelievable!!! I am glad you took this video! Did "Oscar" visit before the day you filmed it and did he/she return after also?

Hummingbirds are not too fearful of humans. I had one in my garage trying to get out through a closed window. When I approached with my hand out, the little creature just relaxed into the palm of my hand. I released it when I exited the garage. The next day I was outside and the hummingbird flew over towards and hovered next to me head as if to say thanks for getting him out of the garage.

This goes to show that if you are kind and gentle to wild creatures, they will reward you. I feed pigeons and swans by hand, the pigeons land on me, (not the swans!), but this is so tiny!

You are so lucky. Hummingbirds have been banded and can live for many years. Maybe your little friend will visit you for years to come. About "Oscar" - that hummingbird doesn't seem to have bright neck feathers (a "gorget") which seems to imply that it's a girl. Oscar's not the best girl's name. Especially for such a beautiful, flirty girl.
