I love all of Metallica's work and I agree that Load and Reload are just as good and enjoyable as any of their other works. In fact, I think the Black Album [After Kill Em All] is my 2nd least favorite of them all, it's just too contemporary.
I make an exception for St. Anger though. There is some decent material in St. Anger, but as a whole, and largely because of the song "Invisible Kid", it's just a pile of garbage overall.

@HvyMetal4Ever I think this feeling comes from the vocal harmonics (if that's how you call it) . Two voices singing slowly the same thing... sounds like something Layne and Jerry would have done, and which is the strong point of AiC :) But it's great, very dramatic. Yea 99.9% of all vocals on the albums are james overdubs. Jason sayes play on the stop part of the god that failed that's the only one i know of.
