new time G.I. Joe fan, this series and the rise of cobra movie was the thing that got me hooked to the G.I. Joe universe, now im looking for G.i. Joe resolute and more stuff G.I. Joe any one has any recomendations. I like how they explained each of the characters in a origin of G.I. Joe and Cobra the terrorist orginization and it's members.
i wont watch no more Hub channel until the authorize DISH and Direct TV the rights to the High Definition sister channel. They authorized AT&T U-Verse, and Verizon FiOS to launch the HD channel. I subscribe to HD services and that's not fair to me. I missed the first episodes of Transformers:Prime in HD. Standard Definition does not look good on HD Flat screen TVs. So why r they being so disrespectful to the fans and customers. Let me know if anybody agrees. Pls speak up people.

@44excalibur I'm not saying they invented the G.I. Joe cartoon. I'm saying alot of people don't realize that it's really anime as well. The Japanese animators put alot more effort and detail in their work wich is why the original series was so good. As far as sticking to the original storyline i couldn't really comment on that since i've only read a couple of those comics. Something i've missed out on i'm sure.

The problem that comic fans have with the Sunbow cartoon is that it has about as much in common with the GI JOE comics as Superfriends has with the Justice League. Yes, the comics had truly great storytelling, since creator Larry Hama is a Vietnam veteran. They used bullets, people died, Snake Eyes & Scarlett were a couple, the military terminology was authentic, the backstories had great depth, etc.

If you can't follow the storyline from the comics you shouldn't do a cartoon at all. I don't want a repeat of that Sunbow nonsense. At least 'Renegades' is getting Snake Eyes and Scarlett right.

Ellis' problem was that he tried to combine elements of the Marvel comic book with the Sunbow cartoon, but they are just too incompatible. How can you judge a series, by just a trailer? I loved the original Gi Joe, but this is a new one and am willing to give it a shot. Looks like they turned Cobra into a Haliburton/ Pfizer/ GE - esque Company. Interesting take and willing to see where it goes
@diegonj79 The Idea of movie trailers or any trailer in general is to give you everything you need to know about the series or movie before you see it, then you decide rather or not to watch the seires movie.
@sfighter991 that is true a trailers lets you decide whether you want to see it or not, but doesn't give you enough insight for a full blown review, insight to your taste yes, but I think its pretty hard to condemn an entire series over 30 seconds.
I love GI Joe but this looks like crap. The original series is still far superior. I think the problem here is this is american animation versus japanese animation. There's no attention to detail and it just looks sloppy. My main problem with this though is that there are no figures out for this series yet which kinda defeats the purpose if ya ask me. I will watch this but my expectations are low based on what i've seen so far. These newer series take themselves way too seriously also.

I don't know. I thought I was excited about this, but the animation looks kinda.....terrible. It looks like a crappy webisode or something. Guess we'll see. Scarlett's not very cute either - she was always so foxy. ;)

I am 28 years old and even i am looking forward to this! its great to finally see Gijoe get a series to back up its toyline! the G.i. joe Rise of Cobra and G.i.joe Resolute were great to keep the people interested and i am hoping Renegades carries the load for many seasons to come! THANX HUB!!
