this disease has an ENVIRONMENTAL casue where you born with a crippled back answer=NO then something in your environment caused the disease. the cause of the disease is Klebsilla bacteria but this bacteria are harmless in most peoples guts why does is only cause you and others with AAS (SPELT WRONG SO NOT TO GIVE DISEASE POWER.) PAIN , BECASE IT CAN LEAK OUT OF YOUR GUT AND INTO BLOOD STREAM VERY EFFICIANTLY OF THIS IS WHERE WE ABSORB FOOD, WHY DO YOU HAVE LEAKY GUT,
I've tried many things for my pain. Smoking every now and then gives me absolute relief for a little while. I wish there was something other than these drugs that knock me out for days at a time. Thank you for posting about A.S.
You taking Cannabis for your pain? I've never heard of that being a treatment for AS. I know that sometimes pain killers help, but normally NSAIDs are primarily prescribed for AS. Are there any other med's you're taking?
I've had AS for 18 years now. Currently on Nabumetone 500mg tabs once per day. Seems to be working fine. Hope you can find relief for your pain.
hmmmm all this discussion..... There is no cure for a degenerative condition. A/S has its cycles. Medical Cannabis gives me a quality of life I would not have with the pharma meds. Opium the only substance and kills the pain and affords me an undisturbed full night's rest.
Hey lequebecfume I was hoping you might give me some info.
For the past couple of years I have had recuring sacroiliac joint pain where my pelvis would take on a temporary twisted posture. This last time that it became inflamed I had breathing problems shortly afterward. Could that be related to AS?
Vice81 sorry to get back to you , my health has not been that great over the holidays.
Yes to both of your questions I also have bad sacroiliac pain and regularly have chest pain that makes anything but very shallow breathing a real pain.
Only a doc and lots of tests can truly tell if it is A/S

AS sucks. And I wish cannibis helped it. A friend gave me a joint once and it brought on a full on flare.
Any of you guys get any other conditions as well as AS?

I have had AS since I was 15 ...I am now 37 years old. I am sick and tired of hearing myself saying how bad my pain is. Strong drugs are needed!

NSAIDS are like putting out a forest fire with a bucket of water! NSAIDS are about as effective as eating malted milk balls!
