  • Thumbs up if LFG sent you here :p

  • I remember watching this on tv in out old home in myhomebay when i was growing up

  • Sorry for the word mix up. It was a mix up idea. To make a live action space pirate movie, called Rocket Robin Hood.

  • It was a mix up idea. To make a lie action space pirate movie, called Rocket Robin Hood.

  • Want a Modern Warfare 3. Enter: goo.gl\nREZL

  • friggin awesome!!!!!

  • This show was crap when it came out ... and it was crap in the early 80's when i saw it as a child ... and it is still crap today. Hideous.

  • Rocket Robin Hood will be played by Kelly Blatz.

  • i fucking love rocket robin hood. cybersix always came on after on teletoon at night.

  • Even as an easily-pleased child I detested this awful show. For shear poverty of imagination it s hard to beat Robin s futuristic weapon of choice: an electric stick.

  • yes! Wee Willy Webber, WPHL CHANNEL 17 PHILADELLPIA!

  • @mtdinstrumentals So right,Rocket Robin Hood on Wee Willy Webber back in the day.....the old good times of cartoons.

  • Find,".It,'"Here"`"Now`."

    Just,,.Copy,",&,.`Paste"`.

  • I watched this as a six year old and am now almost 39. Having not seen that intro in over 25 years I now ask myself, "why the fuck is the chef flying with them?" I think his name was Giles.

  • @99thmonkee: To answer your question, yes it was, made by a Canadian studio called Trillium Productions Ltd. in Toronto.

  • I haven't seen this cartoon in over forty years. It was one of my favorites when I was a kid, though. And it's still ten times better than the drivel that they keep throwing out at us nowadays.

  • @AdmiralCSN: Says you-I love this cartoon too, but I also have a ton of current favorites as well, and this show, although I'll remember it fondly, has too many numerous flaws to overlook (same action repeated all of the time, music repeats, animation rigid and mechanical, etc.)

  • I loved watching this with my brother when we were very young. Early 80s.

  • Led Zepellin copy his starway to heaven from this intro

  • Wow, this looks pretty lame. Glad I never saw this.

  • how come they didnt use blk ppl in 60's cartoons!?

  • @NitroNate6 Because there weren't many black people in white culture back then.

  • waking up at 5am to watch this and get ready for school...... priceless....

  • I started watching this show when I was 9, I'm 16 now and I STILL love it! My dad loves the fact I love the same cheesy old cartoons he did when he was a kid :D

  • @songsnstories

hey it's better than that (can't type that on youtube) you see on nickelodeon and disney channel :)

  • @TechnoHajikelist: What cartoon you can't mention is worse than this one?

  • This show was MUCH better than most of its contemporaries. The writing, voice acting and character development easily beat out the other stuff of the time, like Spiderman. It was also much better than a lot of subsequent cartoons, including Transformers and Thundercats.

  • I hated this show soooo muchhh

  • Iiiiii hated this show sooooooo much

  • You can Download this Search google for 'TheNewsBuzz"

  • Dwnlad this in awesome quality now just Search Google 'TheNewsBuzz"

  • You can Download this Search google for 'TheNewsBuzz"

  • This really was a pretty bad cartoon. However, I loved the songs, and I still do! And the vignettes/interludes--I saw them 1000 times, and somehow they never got old, but I guess in a way became comforting and familiar. I was also fascinated by Maid Marian, even though I think I was only 7 when I started watching. Probably foreshadowed me growing up to be some kind of perv lol. or maybe it's because she's hardly in any episodes.

  • This show was ownage when i was like 5 man, used to watch it every morning firer tuck is the effing man!

  • Y u can Dwnlad in really great quality just Search Google for 'TheNewsBuzz" its there

  • I couldn't bear to watch this as a kid...even back then, when EVERTHING was cheesy, this was the worst!

Maybe it can be re-worked like 'Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law'' .....

  • @AuntieMary50:By whom? Most of the Canadian animation studios are involved in making new shows, not old ones like this.

  • I remember watching this on Teletoon back in like 2004, I'm pretty sure there airing it again on Teletoon Retro :D

  • I think Rocket Robin Hood was a great space pirate! Because that rocket flying Medieval English outlaw was really an living galactic space pirate of the Galactic British Space exploders who always fire an super powers arrows and bow. ANd he also star-crusing flying in his starship with his Merry Men are crew of his starship!

  • Man I hated this show, the most annoying thing was the opening. When I was a kid I just wanted to shoot my t.v. for playing this show hahah it was so dull and emotionless to me.

  • nice one i,d forgot all about this cartoon..

  • I used to watch this in the early 70's when I was a kid as well. And I remember this show. Even though now it is fairly outdated compared to today's cartoon. Still love hearing soe of the little interludes from each of the characters.

  • I used to love the way Friar Tuck would take one bite of each item on the feast table and chuck it behind him--he forgot about the sin of waste. Good cartoon--nice and campy. Good ol' Toronto production.

  • I love this show! It's so funny to watch!

  • this is over 40 years old. all the kids watched it back in the day... i sure did!

some of you think this is stupid? Well, Spiderman was produced by the same people and the two shows shared some of the same animation!

  • spider man was made by a canadian company?

  • Yes, it was.Canadian animation began with this show and Spider-Man!

  • what the hell is that?

  • This was a very well done show, for its time.

  • THIS WAS ACTUALLY GOOD FOR ITS TIME.

  • Is it the same people who did that awful Hercules?

  • The animation is so cheap in this cartoon. Actually done in Canada. It's part of its charm. Also the songs sound like something out of the 1940's set to a 1960's cartoon. I remember when CBC used to show these cartoons in the 70's. Hilarious how so many people actually remember the theme song. hahahaha

  • ahahaha this is so epic!

  • Love this series! Will they release it on dvd or other type of media? Who owns the rights?

  • song is kinda weak. but i must say this is an interesting looking cartoon. kinda reminds me of defenders of the earth in a way. actually it woulda been kinda cool if robin hood was in that cartoon.

  • Actually, the song was the best part of the cartoon.

  • Quite a WEIRD toon!

  • They just don't write 'em like that anymore! Thanks for taking me back to my childhood.

  • they used to call these cheapo toons 'colour radio' lol!

  • lol since when has nottingham been a planet xD

  • This could only have been good if you were high on shrooms.

  • speaking of memories remember watching this back in the late 1960's boy I am ancient on Wee Willie Webber Show out of Phillly back in the day boy talk about OLD

  • Rocket Robin Hood will be played by Carson Daly.

  • wack

  • min 0:35 I never understood why the Earth was floating under a blue sky with clouds. Kinda didn`t make sense to me when I was little. : )

  • I remember getting up at 6am on Saturday mornings, sneak downstairs in my PJs, pour myself a jumbo bowl of fruit-loops n milk. Take the bowl with me to the TV room and plunk myself down for 5 hours of non-stop cartoon action...Starting with Rocket Robinhood of course! Those were the days!!!

  • Holy shit I'm old!!

    I watched this on TV

  • Comment removed

  • ¡que recuerdos mano! esta caricaturaera una de mis favoritas, ademas de que aqui en Mexico tuvo la tradujeron con el nombre de "Meteoro Robin Hood"

  • Fantastic theme song!

  • God I loved that show as a kid. Nowadays everything is Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rnigs. Whatever happened to young people's love of space travel and hi tech gadgets?? The future just ain't what it used to be.

  • @Comicvajra That slowly started to disappear after NASA, rather the U.S Congress, scrapped the Apollo program in the 1970s, someone would have been to Mars by now if they hadn't.

  • @Comicvajra - Well, it was the 1950's and 1960's, the true height of space exploration. Then in the 1970's and onward, with the advent of Dungeons and Dragons and others, it seems like fantasy is back in vogue. I do like Harry Potter and all, but I do agree that it seems there isn't as much science fiction shows as their used to be. Then again it seems to go in cycles too.

  • @Comicvajra: What happened? Try people saying that space travel and the space program is a waste of money and time, and that we have to fix what's going on the planet first before we head into space itself. Don't get me wrong; the environment DOES need to be dealt with, as does poverty, war, and most other social issues, but we shouldn't give up reaching for the stars too.

  • you wanna know a secret, I always thought this cartoon was weird when i was really little... probably like 5, but now, I really enjoy it.. specifically for the theme song... one of the best opening themes I've ever heard in my life.. It does what it's supposed to do.. it makes me want to watch it.

  • What a concept, robin hood in the future with rockets but still wearing the old clothes. I loved this cartoon when I was a kid, there's some weird stuff in this show that is kind of deep.

  • He...he just shot that guy...in the biceps? Wh...what?

  • wow kinds weird!!!! lol ! i think mii cuzzins like it though ~

  • just like u...hows the yuigi watching going these days?...lol

  • maid marion was pretty hot.. whats with the cook.. wouldnt his hat fall off in space.. actually.. wouldnt all their heads implode as well?

  • I watched this often as a youngster and I never EVER saw Maid MArion other than in the credits. I felt shafted! LOL!

  • All three seasons are supposed to be released on DVD by mid 2008 by Warner Canada

  • Holy Sh$#! I thought I'd never see this cartoon again. Thank you!

  • This is a remastered version of the classic Canadian animated TV series, as I can tell, due to better picture and sound quality.

  • this reminds me of when i was being babysat. i would watch it everyday. the merry men would always punch the screen like Batman cartoon of the 60's

  • Wouldn't the jet/rocket pack disintegrate his lower extremities?

  • The Dementia Five episode footage was also used on Spider-Man for the episode "Revolt in the Fifth Dimension.

  • the Spiderman version was actually banned on ABC back in the 60s...

  • this show really creeped me out

  • Gay!

  • Yay!

  • where in the opening credits did they rip off marvel comics?...

  • god im getting old

  • This show needs to be on DVD immediately...

  • You guys kidding me ? Rocket Robin Hood gave my generation its marching orders : Civilian space exploration or bust!

Play the intro to "Safety Dance" (Men Without Hats). Its friggin revolutionary!!! Its like "nuthin´s gonna hold us back".

  • Rocket Robin Hood : "Libertarians" in space. Now we´re fightin´ the Feds (Crown) on different planets.

  • I did notice the ripoff of MARVEL SUPERHEROES in the opening credits

  • Ah, Canada's cheesiest contribution to animation! I watched this show all the time when I was a rugrat, and Teletoon ran it for a while a couple of years ago. Good to see it again.

  • I think I used to watch this show, but doesn't actually remember it. I specially remember that weird name of the series "rocket robin hood" and also the theme song.

  • Great show & great theme song

  • omg I can't believe I used to like this show..

  • I remember that show, it was funny. I love how in this they just move the picture up and down to make it look like there marching

  • More important than my first peanut butter and jelly sandwich ...a necessary childhood memory ..thank you.

  • I grew up watching this every day.

  • Ah, yes, a great Canadian Cartoon (it was Candaian btw)

I remember this as a kid, and I remember it when teletoon played it a couple of years back.

I have pretty much all the episodes now on tape.

  • Is there anyway to get video tapes or dvds of these shows ? this looks like it was on tv again not long ago in Canada.

  • WTF!? That is wacky!

  • This brings back the memories, this was discussed on a uk radio station yesterday!!

  • ...

At the sight of Robin, take your stand,

With the gallant leader of our band.

Send a joyous shout throughout the land!

    For Rocket Robin Hood!

  • GLORIOUS! hahahahahaha

  • @VideoStart At the SIDE of Robin, take your stand...

  • Come gather around me. Space travelers surround me. Hark now to the ballad of Rocket Robin Hood. I may well confound you, astound you, spellbound you, With heroes and villains, the bad and the good. Watch now as our rockets race here from afar. For now, with our Robin, we live on a star. Three. Two. One. Blast off! Band of brothers, marching together. Heads held high in all kinds of weather. With fiery blasts, our roaring rockets rise, Beyond the Earth, beyond the skies! ...
  • Yea!
