  • y como dejo el veneno rubio a lemiux viendo estrellitas por que fernandez era un principiate pero el veneno ese si es un verdadero boxeador mexicano y lo hizo pedazos a lemiux.

  • Caught him right on the point of the chin. Fernandez should drop some weight and fight smaller guys. Lemiuex was bigger, adding to his advantage of heavy hands.

  • It´s a Normal KO,

  • Impressive puncher.

  • Nice KO!

  • What a wicked jab david's got

  • Great Ko!!

  • FUCKING BRUTAL THE ONLY BRUTAL THING HAVING TO SIT THREW 9.59 SEEN BETTER FIGHTS DOWN MY LOCAL CHIPPY WTF

  • Hardly brutal.

  • @DarrylXE you must be smoking crack

  • Fernandez has fought four times since the fight with Lemieux, but has lost three on decision and drawn one. As long as he can go the distance, he has a future as a "tomato can" for up and coming young fighters. Hell of way to make a living though.

  • If you watch the slow mo, lemieux feinted a left jab right before the big right, I think that got the other guy to open up his guard for a split second.

  • didn't finish Rubio did he? He got knocked out.

  • Perfectly timed looping right hands have great impact ...

  • Flatline

  • Fernandez was still shaken from that last blow so he didn't protect himself properly. he left himself wide open.

  • a perfect example of why keeping your hands up is so important lol nasty right...

  • thumbs up if you fast forwarded to the knock out

  • Can't wait to see David fight Marco Antonio Rubio on F.N.F. in a few weeks

  • @19tc85 i am mexican but i have to be honest Lemieux will destroy Rubio

  • @parracatau I just watched that fight. Rubio was patient and crafty and turned the tide on Lemieux quickly to get the stoppage. Great display of boxing knowledge over a dangerous young opponent.

  • @theEdinero In the fight with Rubio, David was counting on an early knockout. Rubio withstood the onslaught. recovered, and starting pounding David, who was spent, and who could not respond. Hopefully David has learned a valuable lesson. I wish David all the best in the future, and I look forward to his next fight.

  • @mindspring57 It happens. Got to give props to Rubio, that was a seasoned fighter showing what boxing is about.

  • @theEdinero For a man to get knocked out, especially that decisively, in front of that many people, is extremely humiliating and degrading, because it means you have been dominated by another man. If you consult boxrec, you will see that many fighters who are knocked out either give up fighting or, their confidence shaken, do poorly. Fernandez seems to be in the latter category. Prior to the fight with Lemieux, Fernandez was 4-4, which is not great, but he is currently 4-8 (plus one draw).

  • @theEdinero If David had been allowed to continue the fight, I think there is a real possibility he would have met Fernandez's fate. David was spent, and he was not responding to Rubio's blows. A knockout, and not a TKO, was just a matter of time. By stopping the fight, Anber spared David further humiliation. I hope David learns the lesson and can recover.

  • @mindspring57 It looked like Lemieux took damage to his jaw which his trainer noticed right away. His trainer probably made the best decision at the right time. I look at Victor Ortiz vs Maidana; after dropping Maidana and getting dropped himself,Ortiz realized it wasnt his night and wasn't adamant he wanted to continue. People watching on tv would criticise, but he saved himself an innevitable beating, and has come back to overcome adversity and beat Berto for the belt in a gutsy performance.

  • @theEdinero You are correct. Initially, it was feared that his jaw or cheekbone was broken, but that was not true (thankfully). The doctors did report that the patient had a badly bruised ego! At a post-fight interview, Lemieux is seen holding an icebag to the right side of his face. I think Anber made the right decision. He prevented the risk of further injury and saved Lemieux from the adverse psychological effect of actually being knocked out in front of a crowd.

  • @parracatau wrong

  • this was a great fight, but that knockout was BEAUTIFUL,good job Dave

  • Apparently the knockout was so severe, David at 7:19 goes over to see how Fernandez is doing.

  • Knockdown at 6:25, lights out (literally) at 7:00

  • so the guy thats boxing david thinks its alright to just go to sleep during a fight? I mean bring a pillow. If you want to go to sleep during a boxing match.

  • what is the name of David's trainer? Can someone tell me that

  • @Hugibeer

    His name is Russ Anber

  • cé mon boxeur préféré! :)

  • 6:50 for 10 seconds before the KO :)

  • all of these armchair boxers who never threw a puch.. give the kis a break, he's only 18 yrs old....

  • well hed ko chavez... i think he'd take paul williams...

  • thats what they al say about pacquiao...every doubted him before... but look at him now... david lemieux is getting better and better...and doubters will believe

  • no disresect but this kid will get ktfo by rubio or any other mid to top range fighter.he doesnt even belong in the ring with martinez.whats his resume of fights?i c nothing.maybe he should test the water with gary lockett 1st b4 he crosses the pond.lol

  • @jrod04buc i think you really should stfu cause lemieux is 24 wins 24 ko , please find a pro boxer that had better stats in his early career , learn your sport dumbass.

  • @3Carnifex I would say that David has learned his sport by now, since he was knocked out by Rubio. David has learned the hard way that not every fighter can be knocked out in the first few rounds. Still, I think David has a bright future, and I wish him the best.

  • Very good offensive fighter, but I question his defense.

  • first he has to face weak opponents is like a path and then when he is older an more experience he will face top oponents thats how it is in boxing. he has talent

  • @mrajtonis yeah but how many , 23 ?

  • @gameboy010203 yea it sucks but the samething is hapening with julio ceasar chavez jr. and canelo alvarez only in a diffrent level. I too want to see them fighting tough opponents but the promoters are carrying them along and hand picking their fights. that s just how it is.

  • JULIO CEASAR CHAVES JR CAN TAKE THIS GUY ANY TIME, ANY PLACE

  • @1968MILLERMAN I disagree becuase I think this kids punching power would be too much for Chavez, Jr.

  • This guy also knocked out Camacho Jr in the 1st round!! Great boxer and hopefully a future star.

  • man would not say he look like a prospect... lets say 24-0-0 23 ko at 21 years old. hes a prospect and already a great boxer

  • Saul Alvarez and this kid will take over the boxing world. And I think Saul would beat lemieux

  • where the brutal ko?

    easy..

  • @Kr1ssz Fernandez is flat on his back and makes no effort to get up. He was probably so disoriented, he was not sure where he was anymore.

  • Brutal? thats nothing compare to pacquiao vs hatton.

  • YOU SEE DAVID LEMIEUX

WHENT TO MY SCHOOL YEAH PRIDE (: NOT KIDDING CANADIAN !

  • I searched on Brutal KO and this crap is what I get

  • @Neejemoeder lmao i did the same thing

  • maybe the best Armenian Boxer in the history David the Great

  • @aramazzd hes a canadian

  • @trainlinezoo

lol he is canadian like i´m a german man! lol

    only on the paper ;)

is father his a armenian his mother a half armenian-half brasil

    so WTF u talkin?!

of course i respect the canadian crowds because they

like David like he is a one of them because he is born in canada

i born in germany but still i´m not a german cuz i´m an armenian

like david too so WTF u talkin man

  • @aramazzd You know what - people are so mixed now because our parents, grandparents, great-grands, etc... got around the globe. My father was German, my mother a Cherokee - Really there are millions of people mixed and sorted. Lemieux pays Canadian taxes - therefore he is a Canadian. Bute is of Romanian origin - pays Canadian taxes therefore he is Canadian. I doubt the armenians are benefiting from DL's boxing performances over guys (Purnell Gates) ranked 248th.

  • @aramazzd

cant get anymore canadian than a surname like lemieux

  • @415Underdog Actually, you cannot get any more FRENCH Canadian with a name like Lemieux. There are a lot of non-French origin people in Canada. My understanding is that David's mother is Armenian, and his father was French Canadian.

  • I bet he watches Tyson footage all day ! :D

  • I agree with much of the sentiment expressed here. He's a top class banger and boxing is in need of his kind coming into the game but he's certainly not going to improve any if he keeps fighting opponents that are way beneath him in terms of talent. Of course his people are gonna want to manage his career so as he peaks and reaches his potential at the right time, but still. Many talented fighters have gone soft by choosing to join the bum-a-month club.

  • Why is he going too fight Purnell Gates? Gates is ready for his SSI check. Gates' last four opponents have a combined record of 27 wins and 57 losses.

DL is ranked #20 World Middleweight. He should be fighting #10 Darren Barker - not #284 Purnell Gates. What's to gain here for DL? Anybody?

  • Comment removed

  • @trainlinezoo was probably not the coaches or the training camp, my guess is it was set up by the promoter.

  • @frankeyyankee3 Purnell Gates turned out to be a total dud. I hope Lemieux's promoter can find an opponent in the top 100 next time. What a terrible match-up.

  • @trainlinezoo yeah Lemieux needs a fight against a top contender, but that might take a bit more time.. Who's going to want to fight him after what he's done to Ayala and Camacho Jr. ?

  • haha wow worst time to put your hands down

  • Dave, dont turn your head

  • People who are talking about help from the ref for this KO are very humoristic .. this poor fernandez took 2 min to rise up... lol ...poor him .. i had almost pity for him

  • @atoz25

Try harder to be a troll

  • @atoz25 moron

  • @atoz25 Huh?

  • @atoz25 What??? What do you mean "most horrible KO call by a ref"????

  • Well, fri the 29 he will meet his biggest test so far... i hope it will all turn out for the best.

  • I wish I was rich so I could pay Rus Anber to teach me. honestly I don't think David has any special genetics or anything, he is just an excellent student and Rus is definitely one of the best boxing trainers. When you mix those two together you get some kid who can beat the shit out of 99.9% of males his size

  • @PocketFire True that Anber is an excellent trainer, but Lemieux is naturally an enormous puncher, He was fighting (and knocking) teenagers of his neighborhood when he was 9 (just before Anber began to train him).

  • @frenchmen88 It is a wonder David was not in jail. Or maybe he was?

  • @mindspring57 No, he wasn't, precisely because he changed his behavior at 9 year-old. If he hadn't done it, then yes he could be in jail nowadays. But currently, he is very disciplined.

  • @frenchmen88 That's good to know. I hope he continues to do well.

  • You see! Look at that! David Lemieux won with the help of the ref !!! No count!!!

  • @adrianemus I do not think so. He knocked him down at 6:25 and it was lights out at 7:00. He was not getting up in eight minutes, let alone eight seconds.

  • @adrianemus Knocked out like he was, you don't need a count, you only need a alot of ice.

  • @adrianemus comical guy

  • after the KO, david was like, 'damn, did i just killed him?'

  • middleweight tommy morrison (as it looks here)

  • i saw his trainer.. he's the best trainer :)

  • i cant wait to see if he's gonna keep that high ko % in the major league....if he does, he will be the next quebec star fighter like gsp in ufc

  • He's looked impressive to date but he's about to move into a whole new level of competition.

  • Knockout punch at 7:00

  • the ref was a bit of a prick ignoring the stricken fighter

  • @innit27 Why? The fighter is getting whatever attention he needs. The referee would just be in the way.

  • thats as close you can get to rip someones head-off.. that kind of a punch will K.O. guys tree or four weight divisions up, for the good timing and speed he executed. nice work

  • he have future in the box ;)

  • Beautifully trained boxer.

  • He is good but greats reach that level at his age. Maybe just needs to fight the bigger names at this point and show everyone if he is real or not. Felix Trinidad won a world title at age 19 and kept it til age 29.

  • @TheGILBERTnetwork Sugar Ray Leonard didn't have a true, legendary battle until he fought Duran at 25. Give the guy a break

  • middle weight tyson is what comes to mind. punches like that will put the best middleweights on their ass in the first few rounds

  • he's young and has a long way to go. but his style is already confident and very able. heavy hands, strong technique. i can see why ppl are saying he's a superstar in the making. looking forward to seeing his progress. he's really entertaining to watch.

  • Russ Anber should gvie David bigger names cause he`s got the talent and the power. I`m pretty sure that in 2011 David is gonna be ready to fight any big name which is currently in the super six. Go David Go !!!

  • some of you guys gotta learn boxing before you talk about it.

  • the guy's got an incredibly short reach, but well... he hits like a truck and has a record of 22wins(21KO's) no losses, man this guy's a beast.

  • kid dinamyte

  • Fernandez looked a lot like Ricky Hatton the way he got laid out

  • it's normal that at the beginning of a career that a boxer fights crappy fighters

then he moves on to better and better fighters

  • R.I.P Fern

  • Lemieux has fought only against boxers unknown.

  • lolll yes because is growing up,is young and need to fight that type of guy to take experience before fight with beast

  • @tidave19 6:56 this KO was frankly spectacular.

  • lollll yes!!! really great k.o...totally light out

  • Why is the fucking ratings option disabled? This is a good vid.

  • there's a right hook for ya

  • @MrLorenzo1992 it's not a hook. More like a overhand cross right.

  • he doesn't overhandcross it either imo and i just prefer the hook term more in this ocasionb cause he hooks his arm anyhow

  • he doesn't hook.

  • @Haassan1 ya he does you moron

  • @eminem5122 no he doesn't

  • He s a futur superstar , i spoke with him yesterday and hes a nice young guy , boy can he punch!

  • @quebecsurfer does he punch better than me? :)

  • @quebecsurfer he was at my school and my summerschool =) I know him not firend but he was the friend of one of my friends and he funny as hell hahaha if you were there when he got 7% in math that day was priceless.. osti jvien juste decrire en anglais hahaha

  • If you're saying he's no good and that his opponents are not good either then it is normal he fights them. Last night he fought a better fighter and won by KO again.

  • He is only just 21. Give the lad a break. His fights up to now have been against weak opposition. Nobody is denying that. He still has so much learning to do. It's what boxers do at the start of their career. He will step up over the next year or two and then we will see what he is really made of. Right now I can say he does look like a great prospect.

What do you expect him to be doing at 21? Calling out Pavlik or Sturm? Nothing is ever enough for some boxing fans!

  • @ImElvis666 Absolutely agree. It's good to see kids brought up gradually and let them learn. He's 21 so there's no hurry to stick him in over his head. He's got me excited though after his knockout of Ayala last night. I didn't expect it to happen so quickly. I'd like to see him get some rounds underneath his belt, but you can't knock him if the other guy got put away early!

  • @ImElvis666 dude he has been training with his dad since he was small ,, he got all the things hundred percent right and is probably the best you can find, almost every hook to the head from him leads to knockdown

  • @ImElvis666 look at amir khan when he was 21 he was fightin better guys then this kid and hes 24 now and a world champ

  • @vatossureno He wasn't fighting better guys then. The likes of Limmond and Lawton were no better than Ayala and Camacho Jr. And even if he was, Khan had a much better amateur pedigree than Lemieux so he could be moved along quicker. It's not the norm for guys to be fighting for world titles at 22.

  • @ImElvis666 so in other words khan is special and extremely talented and he would bury this kid alive... not get me wrong this kid is a good boxer young fresh talented but a can for khan

  • @vatossureno khan was knocked out at 135lbs why would he ever fight a 160lb??

  • @cmiller8789 khan just beat the hardest puncher marcus maidana and even he couldnt knock khan out with his best shots khan got koed by prescott cuz he faught at 135 he killed himselg but now hes a beast hes goin to be big just watch

  • @vatossureno his last fight was at 140 fuckboy they fight 3 weight divisons apart you are a moron

  • @cmiller8789 true but main thing is this david kid is goin to get murdered when he fights top class fighters

  • @vatossureno stupid. He's such a young fighter; he hasn't even blossomed yet. Lemieux is awesome.

  • @ImElvis666 Boxing talk dot com writer Stephen Edwards just published a great article on Sergio Martinez vs. David Lemieux. Article is dated 12/28/10. Check it out! Imagine if Lemieux got to beat Martinez and Andre Ward in the same year?

  • @ImElvis666 Damn straight go and look at hid record now..... 24w 23ko. undefeated.... Say No More

  • Hater, dude is a kid you want them to throw him in with monsters right ofs the bat, his last few opponents had decent records.

  • yeah one of them was 18-2 with 16 k-o and it's was still an easy fight for dave

  • yeah, this one ur referring to is ranked # 245 among 1125 boxers.

  • yeah this guy you are refering to-Bladimir Hernandez- is ranked # 248 among 1130 boxers in light middleweigt division.

  • I Got Those Gloves

  • Ooops lights out !!! lol

  • Wow, now that's what I call an overhand right.

  • im seeing a floyd mayweather straight coming along

  • hes another overhyped john duddy or Andy lee

  • Lazy kid in white just sleeping on the job.

  • a good example of vigorous training, good listening, and positive results!

  • he looks good eh

  • David's jab is just exquisite. It's kind of ridiculous.

  • Agreed. You just cant believe the way he pulls it off. Or maybe it's just his opponents inadequacy that makes it look better?

  • He looks legit. His opponents seem decent enough. He doesn't seem to get fazed by being hit and seems to be calm enough to maintain his composure in a tougher battle. I hope he's tested soon, but he's still really young.

  • jr middleweight

  • what weight is he

  • 154

  • And he's got the coach Russ in his corner too.

  • 18ans seulement.

  • BRUTAL and SPECTACULAR KO

  • that was a good hit

  • THIS GUY IS A FUCKING MONSTER
