this song beats ( IMHO ) almost every other song of that era that aint from zeppelin or purple.. ( music nowadays aint even worth mentioning ) its just such a warm and excellent song i dont even mind that there aint vocals in it. Like the way it is its almost perfect! Outtake? This is pure orgasm
This is great. Rarely get to here Jenning's and this photo montage is awesome too. I've never seen many of these photos before now. So Jenning's was rewoorked into Bron -y -aur stomp right. There's that familiar riff in it, and it's the only reason I think taht they wouldn't have released this awesome freaking instrumental in it's own right. Great post, thanks.
All I have to say is what a MONSTER Bass Player John Paul Jones is....what a fantastic musician. One of the best rhythm sections to ever grace a rock and roll stage.
What may sound like 'meandering' 2 u @stingray1964,is a well thought out(that's Page)and mapped recording.In fact,Jimmy's guitar sounds suspiciously like his(immediate) post-Zeppelin work.Wouldn't doubt 4 a second if Jimmy dubbed some stuff in.After all,the track is complete,and he was a master producer.What a FUCKIN' GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Food 4 thought.
AWESOME ,....!!!!!! The FUTURE of Country Music,...!!! This is what would become,.. Bron-Yur-Stomp !! ( Song Robert Plant wrote about/for his Dog "Strider" {Ain't No Companion Like a Blue Eyed Meryl} )~~ practice sessions,.. obviously at Jennings Farm !!..?? or most likely Bron-Y-Ar ?? Cottage in Upper Snowdonia in Wales !! Which perhaps could be the same place,..!!?? Haaha !! " Shapes Of Things To Come "

Long Life to Zepp ! I was 12 when a heart them for the first time in Buenos Aires, Whole lotta lova single. I'm 54 and I feel like a boy again with their music.
Hopefully 02 Arena gig will be DVD release, and Jennings Farm Blues can be woven into that production somehow. Extras, or even as menu backing. BEST unreleased Zep material out there, no question.
@Za7a7aZ i think the question is, why WOULDNT you want it to be the seventies again!?!?1
When men could dress like men, when things made sense, when women put out, when people had to work for their shit, back then you had to be hot shit to even get near a recording studio now, all you need to be famous is, you need to know how to work a fuckin' computer... this day and age sucks...
What tune is this and what album is it off of? That riff sounds so familiar off of Physical Grafitti but this sounds like a jam based on that riff. The song about Roberts dog Strider?? This is driving me crazy!!
@spercoco It is not on any official release, it is from a Bootleg and is called Jennings Farm Blues (which is now the name given to this song). It is mostly just an early electric version of Bron-y-Aur stomp recorded November 1969 for led zep III, which is the song about Roberts dog.
I've always called this song "Jennings Farm Blues". I LOVE IT. Page & The Boys seemed to incorporate many riffs from, for & of lots of Zepp tunes into one lovely JAM SESSION! Foot stomping tunage ferrrr sure!
@SwanSong2156 OOPS, I was commenting on your question -so here goes again - " I've always called this song "Jennings Farm Blues". I LOVE IT. Page & The Boys seemed to incorporate many riffs from, for & of lots of Zepp tunes into one lovely JAM SESSION! Foot stomping tunage ferrrr sure! "

Tea For One should not have made their vinyl but live that must have been spectacular. Presence, begining of God's decending.
ya know , it really goes without saying that Justin Beiber is not on Zeppelin's level . Are there really no better examples of todays rock music than some little kid ? Come on fellers , turn of the Nickelodeon network and go to the local record store , or even dig around some on you-tube . Music is all over the place , if u look . You may not find the next Zeppelin , but there is good stuff out there that is not Tv hype or kids stuff
I wish Pagey would just release every recording these guys ever did together, outtakes, concerts, diffrent versions, ect. The stuff he thinks isnt good enough to release is better than any music coming out these days.
@ndb1971 I've never thought of that before man.. Great idea :D And you're absolutely right, not to mention that fact that it would sell millions and millions all over the world.
Great Song... I cant believe they have never released this version anywhere....I like this version much better than the stripped down one on Led Zeppelin III
