sweet. I enjoyed it ,, and I liked your humble comments... a step short of sublime but still very nice choices and sounds at at snippets and very solid over all
@banxy93 Not sure what motivated that remark. I have nothing to prove, however, that is my own unpublished arrangement. It is trbn solo with British style brass band accompaniment. My publishing house put it on back burner because there are already two arr of Misty for brass band. Did it for myself & it has been played by me several times with band, also Brett Baker of Black Dyke Band has done it. The backing you hear was done from parts on sequencer by myself.
hey man this sounds good you have nice range and sound! the only criticism i could think of is sometimes when you play faster passages, it gets choppy due to tonging, so maybe smooth out the legato tonging. Nice arrangement as well!
muffled?!?!?! wow hold on!!!! Which recordiding are you listeningf to?!?!?! This is awesome and you should give the guy some credit!!!!! I mean not musical!!! What are you talking about?!?!?! This is a good interpritation of the song!!!
How much exactly is some time?!?! I myself have been playing trombone for 14 years and your'e asking me what do I know about music?!?! I think you better ask yourself that question first!!!
I have to agree about the great range and sound. Very nice. The only critic I would have would be your slide technique. You know the positions well but you are not getting to them fast enough. You tend to slide into them causing a constant unintentional legato effect which kind of dulls out the momentum of the song. Timing between notes makes all the difference in style and crispness on the trombone.
Thanks for playing "Misty" for us - it is a favorite. Your video is now in my favorites!
Thanks for the constructive comment, mind you, there are a lot of things I don't get to as fast as I used to haha Glad you still enjoyed it though, much appreciated.
Thanks for the comment, much appreciated. I made the backing track myself on a 10 track sequencer in my Yamaha Stage Piano/Keyboard. It is my own brass band arrangement, unpublished I'm afraid. Two other trbn & brass band arrs of mine are published though, "Here's that Rainy Day" and "National Express". "Here's that Rainy Day" is on here (with sequencer), "National Express" is on Stannington Brass CD. Regards.
is good !
