  • This song is so good. Thanks for the upload.

  • Classic 1981 hit by the late Eddie Rabbitt! Love this song!

  • Godspeed Eddie

  • oh well

  • hi

  • cool song

  • I know this song is a little bit smaltzie, but, for its time, it really was representative of the way society expected the dating scene to be. Nevermind that, it was a really catchy country-pop crossover hit that was fun to listen to. And who can knock something that makes you happy?

  • 2 people didn't take it Step by Step.

  • Great song which us men should take into consideration.

  • Awwwww... This is my favorite songgg in the whole world!!!! This is about the only Eddie Rabbitt song I like... =]...

  • hahaha, this song totally reminds me of 3rd Grade. I used to have this huge crush on this geeky, blonde haired, blue eyed girl with glasses. Its funny how music brings you right back.

  • You take that first step

Ask her out and treat her like a lady

    Second step

Tell her she's the one you're dreaming of

    Third step

Take her in your arms and never let her go

Don't you know step by step

    Step by step

    You'll win her love ? <3

  • I was born in 80 and was dancing and singing to this soon as i knew how to use my moms record player along with prince

  • I love this song..wish i would have taken Eddie's advice back in the day..but I was to shy..great song!

  • I was in college back then and I used this song to date a gorgeous lady named Patty. Thanks Eddie

  • This song reminds me of a restaurant I worked at in the early 80's. They usually piped one of the local soft rock radio stations which played this song constantly. Thing is, I had to learn to like soft rock or go totally insane. Of course then my friends thought I was nuts for even liking this kind of music.

Back in the 80's, it seemed like you couldn't win, LOL.

  • Just wonderful, and so true too.. Eddie had it right, step by step ♥..

  • Love this song!

  • I love this song...my dad used to Eddie Rabbit when we were growing up and this song takes me back.....love it

  • Beast song :D

  • The early 80's were a good time for Country to crossover to pop, Eddie Rabbitt was one good example of it ;-)

  • Classic !!

  • I was a country DJ in the early 80's when gents like Eddie ruled the charts. We miss you bro.......

  • Step by Step you win her Love I wish great song

  • this song is very unforggetable from October from 1981 thirty years ago

  • Fantastic voice...taken from us too soon.

    Great song...

    xx Barb from CA

  • I thought of this.. was singing the lyrics.. trying to remember it was Eddie.. Still remember all the lyrics...

  • this song is so underated.

  • @VonMystiK I agree with you there. His huge hit 'I Love A Rainy Night' more or less overshadows this lovely number the late great Eddie Rabbit did in the same year of 1980. Good to see you & I take notice of it. :)

  • @VonMystiK i will agree 150% to that
