@TheIdleEye Yo no creo que sea un mal remake, es un poco diferente y quizas menos "fria" que "Abre Los Ojos". Las escenas aqui estan mejor ambientadas en todos los aspectos, además de que explican algunas cosas que en la original no, por ejemplo lo que paso con Sofia y su amigo despues de que el murió y entro al proyecto de LE. Por cierto el final de Vanilla Sky con todos los "recuerdos" de David definitivamente esta mejor hecho, actuado y causa mas nostalgia que el de la original...

ha thanks man. I haven't watched the original, I just really like watching Vanilla Sky, it puts me at peace within myself, although it makes me question almost everything I do in life. I guess that's what the main goal was of this film. It worked pretty well I'd say.

cierto la version original es mejor, la quimica entre E.Noriega y P.Cruz cala mas, y ademas es como más cruda y compleja de entender..la actitud de Sofia en Abre Los Ojos es tan reaal, no como en Vanilla Sky q muestran a una Sofia irreal aun en el mundo real...Lo q se rescata de Vanilla Sky son los efectos, el soundtrack y una ultima parte más emotiva, sobretodo la escena en q David sube al ascensor y entiende todo lo q pasa, muy buena. Por lo demas, Abre los Ojos es mejor

la version americana esta hecha para que el mas pendejo la entienda, si tiene excelente fotografia ,el personaje principal realmente es adinerado en la otra era u tio q vivia bien ,pero la emocion el caracter del filme original es mucho mejor, aca todo esta comercializado y explicado para q la mayoria de pendejos no le queden dudas,simplemente abre los ojos es mejor porq esa es la original y punto,te mueve las fibras llore te mueve algo q vanilla no ,me agrado pero nada como lo original

@curancho personalmente como cineasta amateur puedo decirte que es un buen trabajo, perro sin duda abre los ojos tiene mucha mas intriga y te hace pensar aun mas, es como querer comprara a donnie darko con the bigfhis. aun que creo que entiendes que en este mundo si no vendez no te contratan. ahora bien lo unico que me desagrado fue que la ecena donde todos los polician disparna fue eliminada de esta pelicula

@groundge2 sin duda no te puedo decir nada de eso. paul mccarney es una mierda, pero toma en cuenta esto. trataron de hacerlo para pareser un suño y recopilar las cosas que a el le gustaban, la trama la cambiaron por completo de hecho en abre los ojos. era un tipo que tenia dinero pero queria vivir muy sensillo. pero aqui es un tipo que le gusta todo lo contrario. antes de que critiques la obra en general, trata de ver esto. quien fue quien la escribio otravez , veras la sorpresa

@groundge2 mira muchas producciones españolas, son de lo mejor. pero solo enteiende que la pelicula en su estructura no esta mal, lo unico que puedo decir es, jamas comparara el cine español con el amercano, a diferecnai del americano el español es mas subrealista, y el americano es muy abstracto. ami personalmnete me gusta mucho las peliculas de el dia de la bestia y las 2 de rec y la elsa y freud, y sin duda aprecio sus producciones

he was not a genius he just bought the rights of the script from the original version wich is a lot better ,vanilla sky was adapted for the american market in order for them to understand a movie as good as the original, don't get me wrong vanilla has better photography better soundtrack and more $ support, but it was based on a really peace of art from pedro amenabar

That's the thing. I watched Vanilla Sky first, and can tell that it had more glamor, and was more meaningful, even to the point of making someone cry. Open Your Eyes, was a downright thriller, and did explain a lot, where Vanilla Sky focused more on the love triangle, and how LE was just something that happened, rather than an integral part of the story. The director succeeded in making this movie more focused on emotions, rather than the threat in which he really was, which is why I prefer V.S.
