Thanks for you comments. The rest of the concert was fine and is also on Youtube. "Papa loves mambo","Blue rondo a la turk","I want you back", "Goldcrest" and "Joy peace & happiness". Take a look. Thanks again.
Fantastic job! I'm an old ELO fan and I've never seen that done before. My son who is now in high school is a trombone player and he want's to convince his band director to do Mr. Blue Sky.(Great solo by the way) How was the rest of the concert?
Playing indeed is very enjoyable. The song and it's rendition sends shivers down my spine. Jeff Lynne now officially being recognized as a musical icon (Q awards 2007) and with his IVOR NOVELLO AWARD for outstanding services to British Music (alongside Paul McCartney, Sir Jehudi Menuhin etc.), more of his songs should be arranged and performed like that to make people realize just how awesome music this is.
Brilliant! Hat's off to the conductor/arranger and to the young performers. A brass interpretation- who would have thought? Do teens today listen to ELO?
No, I don't like it, I LOVE IT!! I've always thought of Jeff Lynne as one of the greatest composers of our time.
I wish there would be even more arrangements of his songs, 'cos each seems to prove the total brilliance of his music. Thanks for posting this - it's just mindblowing!
You guys did a great job! It must have been fun getting to play a cool song like this.

Hey, i am one of the members of the band, tuber player infact. It's a great piece, tuber part is good lol.
Any comments on the tuber playing?

I thought a tuber was a kind of potato? Why can't tuber players spell tuba? Playing is very good.

Thank you. I'll pass these comments on to the band when I next see them. By the way, the arrangement is by the band's conductor Jonathan Leedale.
