@StephKath117 how do you know this video isn't using melodyne? he is a good vocalist i agree, but not the best. they have software to correct pitch so you can't tell that software was used. his vocals will have effects added in the studio and i'm sure minor corrections made here and there........ you can take a picture of the most attractive female and still make it better by editing on a computer :)

@greedyneedy44 They aren't different styles of microphones. Both dynamic and both cardioid. They do sound almost identical, they are both based on the same capsule. I can almost guarentee you wouldnt be able to tell the difference. The biggest difference is the 7b needs a very gain happy pre. More than almost all ribbons. The RE20 is favoured by a large number for this reason. RE20 is also a bit more present and forward sounding. This is a little more smooth.

@greedyneedy44 Oh and the capsule design is the Unidyne III. They aren't exactly the same incarnation of it but they do sound similar and they definitely aren't worth 200 pounds more. Type in sm7 vs 58 in on google and look at the many comparisons.
