Yes it may not have as much power as a bmw V8 but it has a great top speed. On the highway can keep up with any V8 as well. If u owned one u will know what the W8 power is all about lol

and on the High Way the W8 can only keep up with maybe the Volvo V8 ;) it can not keep up with an V8 engine from other cars! If u think so, u maybe should drive another V8 (maybe BMW or even a 4.2 L S4)! Drive it and u will see the Difference!
the W8 is alright for highway driving, as long as you keep it under 2500 rpm. but if you want to drive fast (And the W8 is very fast) then get ready to pay.

Actually they basically correct the air/fuel ratio to a more powerful setup, change the ignition timing, and smooth out the powerband. they can provide very big results for low prices, especially when combined with a downpipe or other exhaust upgrade. And, GIAC makes some of the best chips on the market.
Well I'm getting there slowly, I posted that comment three years ago..I now have a 2.0 turbo Passat , at this rate I should reach a 4.0 W8 in about 30 years...lol

the w8 is the worst car VW had ever build! (if we look away from Phateon ;) )
