  • Michele Cassino non è stata liberata dai francesi ma bensì dal sacrificio di molti americani/inglesi e l'abazia fu conquistata dai polacchi (che ebbero molte perdite anche loro)

  • I'm a true Italian, whereas you're a North Korean.

  • You are as ridiculous as Mussolini, since you support him, not him. And you also are a buffoon and a prickhead!

  • @Michele640 Who is the italian? You or me?

    Clown!

  • John Ellis is just a madman, and you are the greatest ignoramus in the world... garbage like you should simply be hanged mercilessly... up with the United States!

  • @Michele640 And you are as ridicoulous as Mussolini.

    Buffoon!

  • I don't make any "stupid comments", it's you who tells disgraceful lies. The French had nothing to do with the liberation of Cassino from your beloved Nazi pigs, it was just thanks to the Anglo-American heroes that the ordeal for Cassino and its population came to an end. You are just telling historical bullshit!

  • @Michele640 " Cassino: The hollow victory " by John Ellis. Read it and tell me what he got wrong about the battles of Cassino.

You haven't got a clue what you are talking about.

  • To the French? Please, don't talk nonsense! The French did little or nothing and, after the Cassino Abbey was taken, committed a lot of heinous rapes against our women. To me, someone who doesn't recognize the American's credit is a Nazi. Period.

  • @Michele640

Before making stupid comments why don't you read? Read what Kesselring thought of the french troops in Italy. Read John Ellis' Cassino: the hollow victory. Monte Cassino was a anglo-american obsession. They wanted clear ground to deploy their tanks and they thought the Liri valley was the answer. To enter the valley they had to take Monte Cassino. The french proved them wrong. They climbed Monte Majo and broke through all the german defensces and the germans had to leave Cassino.

  • What a great man. You can see why the American GI loved Clark. He bought them victory and glory. No wonder Eisenhower called him "American Caesar". He conquered the fascist stronghold and freed the Catholic church from total ruin. All hail to Mark Clark, General of the United States.

  • Thank you, dear American brothers, for freeing rome and Italy from the Nazi criminals.

  • i hate when people don't reconize the deed that the canadians did in Italy and im sure my grandfather would not appreciate this either

    Rest In Peace gramps

  • Of course, Canadians and Britons were also very courageous and useful.

  • And don't forget the French

  • The Frech? They supported the Nazis and are the dirtiest and most thankless people in the world!

  • @Michele640 It is thanks to the french that the allies conquered Rome in 1944. It is a bit strong to be accused to be nazi by an italian!

Ever heard of Koufra, Bir Hakeim, Normandie-Niémen, Belvedere...?

  • lol, are you saying that Italy was not on Uncle Adolf's side? Italy changed sides when they knew they were losing

  • I am not saying this at all! But many Italians were against Mussolini and Hitler and gave their lives to defeat them.

  • I apologize for my comment, I meant it more as humor/sarcasm,didn't come off that way! I agree with you : )

  • There's no need to apologize, the important thing is that we share the same view about criminals like Mussolini and Hitler.

  • However many Italians still fought with the Nazis after Italy surrendered.

  • I don't think they were so many, anyway I condemn them in no uncertain terms.
