@jsufi1 usually Power Benchers are Belly Benchers.that's why the strongest bench pressers are always fat. The big gut allows them to shorten the range of motion during the press. I think the main problem (other than it being too much weight) was that he didn't arch his back enough. Powerlifters use a huge arch when benching to turn bench press into a decline bench press. We are able to bench more in the decline position rather than the flat bench position.
