If I see something in the sky that I cannot identify, I may contact the police or air force, etc. In other words, the government! They will need to follow-up and that involves paperwork. There have been thousands of reported UFO sightings and perhaps a lot more that have not been reported. If even one per mill are deemed reliable then the existence of UFO's is not news.
I have never heard of an ostrich on an iceberg. Has someone told you a story about that? Is it something you have seen yourself? Do you have any documentary evidence to support the existence of an ostrich on an iceberg? If so, I imagine it would be popular news.

@CapFranz Also it says the figters were on their routine patrol so that means they fly the same flight paths every day at least if not a few times a day and have not seen a optical illusion before. and that that flight path has been flown over many thounsands of times and no one saw anything that made optical illusions or reported seeing distant lights that look like 12 UFO's

@mydas1 Thank you, but you need to realize that UFO's are just "Unidentified Flying Objects!" That doesn't mean they are alien visitors! If I see something in the sky that I cannot identify, I may contact the police or air force, etc. In other words, the government! They will need to follow-up and that involves paperwork. Government paperwork is archived therefore you can find it in government archives! It is NOT evidence for alien visitation of course.

Because when you work with NASA you have to sign a contract that you will not come out to public with anything that you saw , heard or know. Cooper is old enough and so NASA could not do anything to him anymore, that is why he decided to speak. These kind of things are not easy to keep quite. Gordon Cooper may be suffering from dementia. I've noticed that in another interview his story is almost word for word the same for a completely different scenario. Also, we don't yet know the psychological effects of being in space. Remember the female astronaut who drove in her diaper? I think sometimes about the impact it must have on the psyche to actually be in space - to be a world, and to see the whole of the earth with your own eyes. Think about it - it's a very intense thing to do.

Nor do I make any claim that I am in a better ""state of mind"" than an astronaut. I would, however, hazard to guess that I'm more reasonably sound than Mr. ironballz, if by name alone.

I believe the reason he doesn't mention sightings as an astronaut is due to liability. If he were to say that while working for NASA he witnessed ETs, that would implicate NASA (his former employer, and pension guarantor) in a cover up. I don't think I have to even explain what kind mess that would get him in.

I belive in 'A' God.
But if you research the evidence most modern religions are all around 2000+ years old and are very similar.
Who is to say which religion is right and which is wrong.
Christian? Sikh? Jewish? Muslim? Hindu? Buddhist? tooth-fairy? ;)
Not my place to say, I will just live a good life do my best to get on with every person on this planet and if there is a maker? I hope this is good enough for him.

I have a great deal of time for Mr Cooper, however he does believe that God created the universe for us! so there is the possibility that he has seen something he can't explain or has mis identified it. I have little doubt there will be life of some sort somewhere BUT I still am not convinced that ET visits here regularly, there are a lot of people who like to sell tickets to lectures and books saying they have proof but no proof is ever forthcomming (as yet!?)

sandoosi, I'm a flight engineer and I think I probably know a little more about area 51 than you, what goes on there, is military aircraft research and development. If we had alien technology, WHY THE HELL would we still be fucking around with Jet engines!!!!

Look up Edgar Mitchell, highly respected scientist, MIT graduate, 6th man to walk on the moon. He says there's no doubt in his mind that aliens have visited earth, they're not hostile, and they've helped the US government with "sonic engineering secrets." Very interesting stuff.

I think I would seriously look into the fact that Nazis were experimenting with these craft and propulsion as far back as the 30s at least .operation paperclip was also 13years before Coopers sighting..he says the ufos he saw were flying in the same fighter formation as his fighters this sounds very suspect to me almost as though paperclip had there own human black ops pilots up there testing these craft..who knows what pranks black ops like to play on there own side..

I had a friend in the USAF who fought in the korean war and he told me they were called to a hanger to watch a saucer shaped object controlled by a man that did things they didnt have the tech to even do. He wasnt threatened but he said they were sworn to secrecy at the time. His theory was, nobody would even believe him anyway. He was a mason which is strange now to me but he said he had nothing to lose by telling as he was an old man. I bet there are many more like him.
