I ran across this video and there is my photograph.... used for this demonstration...thanks for using my name Michael Carlucci....visit my website to see more of my photos...
You are amazing. I am a great fan of simple and minimalist design. You are doing such a fantastic job, real inspiration. Perhaps you should start your own channel so we can subscribe.
Thank you @bluehz. Video from the camera is imported directly into iMovie. Still graphics are created in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop at full size, 1920 x 1080 pixels (16:9 ratio), then imported into iPhoto and from there into iMovie, where titles and transitions are added and the video is composed. The finished video is uploaded, tagged and closed-captioned (a cool, free YouTube feature) on our YouTube channel.
John, I had already learned that lesson from the print version (I'm a subscriber). But I really have to say: what's even better about these videos than the excellent content is the friendliness and warmth you bring across. It's so good to hear you explain these things. Thanks a lot!
Lovely. The only thing I don't like is that there's still a line of separation between the photo and the dark-colored top section. Would a gradient perhaps be better?
@da5idnz That was kind of bugging me too. I'd probably put a line across there bleeding off the left and the right.. probably in the same color as the title. That might look nice.
I love my B&A magazine subscription and it has only been enhanced by your video series. So thank you for another informative and creativity-provoking vid.

@bamagazine Thanks that is so cool! I use ID/PSD all day and I would have never guessed that was a prime component of the video. Excellent work!

@bamagazine Excellent - thx for the info - what did you do to do the dashed line around the photo at approx 1:30.
bluehz 1 year ago
@bluehz Three InDesign graphics, with dotted line segments pointed out the phantom frame.
