  • At least it's not chlorinated.

  • the first vending machine was selling water :) back in 150 BC , since there was no tap water, clean water was hard to find in those days.

  • Am I the only one who thinks water taste discusting?

  • lol I live up the street from Ontario

  • Whenever i have a metal waterbotle, after a month or so of use, it always tastes heavily of metals. Its kind of nasty and washing it does not seem to do anything. Can anyone help?

  • @24680kong use a reusable plastic water bottle from brands like Nalgene or CamelBak they're BPA free and you can buy them with filters if you really want. It's a win, win situation for you AND the environment...with no metaly taste :)

  • dont try this at home kids

  • @baneheart7 BPA isn't present in the bottles that bottled water comes in - it's in some "water bottles" and baby bottles. It is safe to reuse the bottles if they have been washed to remove any bacteria or fungi that may have entered. The idea that it is unsafe to reuse the bottles comes from a non-peer reviewed masters thesis and has been contradicted repeatedly. Also, the '1' does not mean it should only be used once, it simply shows the type of plastic ('1' means polyethylene terephthalate).

  • Did you know? 70% of bottled water never crosses state lines for sale, making it exempt from FDA oversight.. Visit my channel to *MAKE A CHANGE*

  • the only time i'll ever drink bottled water is if i'm out somewhere and i'm really thirsty, otherwise at home i prefer water out of the tap

  • I dont know how anyone was ever fooled into paying for something that you get for free from the faucet. 11 billion you say? Holy crap the world is messed up...

  • Or... just clean the drinking water properly so you don't have to put chloride in it and you can drink a lot safer.

Bottled water is a waste of energy...

  • Is it cheaper to get a water filter?

  • I love the fact that in the 70s, everyone was laughing at the idea of paying for something like water. "What will we pay for next, AIR?" Ah, the genios of marketing.

  • Bottled water: the greatest hustle of all time

  • I only get bottled water when I forget to bring my own to school or work.

  • /the Antonym of Premium is : INDIRECT (VIA superior) -> inferior

  • you should see the caps... if it's green or dark blue, then it's mineral water.. if it's white, then it's drinking water, which contains all those chemical substances you've mentioned..

  • Ah, bottled water. Its clean, its pure, its fresh from the waters of my toilets!

  • Loving the add for highland spring water above the suggestions.

  • Ontario California! LMAO!!! XD

  • funny stuff

  • I blame this man for keeping me to do my homework.

  • dasani adds salt to thier water

  • Paying two bucks a gallon for water, that you have to drive to get, when you could pay 4cents a gallon for the same product from the tap.

I dunno. I might have to check the definition of "Scam" in a dictionary.

  • I just want the one that tastes the best. :-\

  • Um, mister,

There's actually some question to how healthy filling up a plastic water bottle is. There's a numbered recycling label on it. Usually, a '1' is found on these plastic bottles. The number corresponds to the type of plastic used in the bottle, and should be used only once. Otherwise, BPA starts to leech into the water you're drinking, causing mostly hormonal problems. However, there's nothing wrong with refilling an aluminum drinking bottle, provided you wash it out every so often.

  • @baneheart7 I'm pretty damn sure that bottles made with plastic code #1, or PET, is BPA-free. BPA is a specific plastic chemical, and PET is a different chemical entirely.

  • @jtull89

Upon my vigorous research (which is almost exclusive to wikipedia browsing), it turns out that #1 plastic is indeed comprised of PET. It is entirely possible that my information (while posted 9 months ago according to Youtube is actually approximately 3 years old) has become outdated. Still, props where props are due.

  • @baneheart7 So, in other words it's safer to drink water out of an aluminum bottle?

  • @baneheart7 You obviously don't understand the fucking concept of SARCASM.

  • @baneheart7 what about glass bottles? you know, the kind soda comes in

  • HAH! I remember dumping Halizone tablets in my canteen in Vietnam! I love tap water (in the US) To hell with this bottled water nonsense! Love your work!

    KLUTE

  • @thomasbhunter007

    NO HES FUCKING AWESOME!!!!

  • @ismellfunnyto

Thomas didn't say he wasn't awesome.

    Just said he was gay.

Things can be gay AND awesome.

    Look at Freddy Mercury.

  • evian = naive O.o

  • LOLOL "mmmm, sodium bicarbonate..."

Is that why all water tastes differant?

  • So I guess "Chernobyl Springs" would be a poor choice for a brand name...

  • @thomasbhunter007 does anyone else care if he's gay or straight? does anyone else care about this guys stupid little homophobic ways?

    didnt think so

  • add caffine to bottle water to get people addicted :P

  • @thomasbhunter007 maybe you're gay, your using the word vibe?

  • Old Lithium Batteries needs to be filtered through the Sheeples livers ! to save the Planet !!..This is why we need Governments, remember ?..We are unable to Govern ourselves for some reason !?...We looked to the Almighty for guidance...And now we are guided by Man (Lucifer's inbred Elite)..hmm

  • whats the opposite of premium?

  • news flash, you can get water from your tap and bottle it at home for FREE

  • @TheHomelessCripple oh yeah true the water from ur tap is totally free and costs nothing at all.... thats why so many people dont have water cuz its free!

  • @VinzorBE in Canada tap water is free. We only pay for the infrastructure to deliver the water. And still we only pay on average 31 cents a liter, while you in Belgium pay about $1.55 a liter. So, ya most ppl in Canada do have water.

  • you should do a vid on TRUE communism =]

  • @thomasbhunter007 No. Just because you've got a bad and ignorant life doesn't mean he needs to take the hate for it.

  • i refuse to pay for something that comes filtered from the sky.

  • It's funny the the two bottled water (The ones that they have found out to be just tap water), has PEPSI and COKE, in them. XD

  • For a buck-fifty, I would expect that water to come from the same pool that beautiful virgins have bathed in(funny, yet shameless exaggeration)!

  • i live in Ontario, CA all we have is a man made lake... no wait that's in chino. i didnt know that was bottled here though here you'd pay about 2 bucks for a flat of that brand of water.

  • Great little intro to the bottled water problem. It's light, fun and snappy. It deserves to be viewed by people concerned with our bottled water problem.

Oh, just to let you know; the people that drink water out of plastic bottles, should stop for a second and take a look at some facts. Scary, I don't want to know facts, that will only upset them.

Or, just a thought; they can instead allow their ignorance to become bliss, as they quench their thirst with yet another sip from a plastic bottle.

  • 1.50!? You suck.

Bottles in Lithuania cost a lil' bit more in LT's. So I can get the half a liter three times cheaper.

  • Oh yeah, don't ever reuse plastic water bottles. These bottles were meant to be used once, and then to be disposed of. Past a certain amount of time, the plastic from the bottle will begin fusing with the water, hence the expiration date on all bottled water. Even if the bottle is no where near the exp. date, reusing it over and over just speeds up the time until the plastic starts to deteriorate. Use a sports bottle or something meant for constant reuse.

  • @Shinoshi04 like Aquarius?

  • Lol So what?! Most bottled water may be tap water, but it's damn good ultra filtered tap water (unlike the stuff that comes out of my pipes). It should be quite understandable that it's not bottled spring water. Cause what company is gonna build their purification facility out in some remote mountain, just so they can sell natural spring water at a $1 a pop. I'll take Bottled water over regular tap any day, since my tap water taste nasty (maybe a premium in-home filter might solve that).

  • In China, it is recommended you do not buy bottled water.....lead anyone? No, im just kidding, but seriously though, dont' get bottled water in China. Best have boiled tap water.

  • I've been to china. the reason you SHOULD buy (MINERAL!!!) bottled water is because its (sometimes) boiled and doesn't contain the bacterium which are in the water over there. Western people are used to completely clean water. In China..they're not and they can drink it. if you do get it from the tap, just boil it and you can drink it.

But bottled water is safe there.

  • my relatives live in china and when i was there i was advised not to buy certain brands of bottled water cause they have something in it to make it look pure. I do hate the taste of tap water there...like i said its got this bitter metalic taste or something. the water taste better @ my gran's house, which is in the country.

  • a well, could be.

I only was there for 1 week so.. didn't see much.

  • DO NOT REFILL BOTTLED WATER BOTTLES

They were meant for 1 use only and will bleed chemicals into the water. That's why they have an expiration date. There are reusable plastic and metal bottles that are safe.

  • lol they put sodium chloride in

  • @ThreeSixtydroid that's just old fashion salt!

  • I use to have to drink bottled water because the pipes under my whole friggin street are made of lead but then I just got a filtre

  • domestic beer and regular gasoline are both cheaper than bottled water Big business will always screw you if they can and they usually can and bottled water is no exception.

  • they taste better too.

  • Bottled Water is the biggest waste of money there is. And one of the biggest brands of bottled water, Mount Franklin, has been giving us all false information and ideas.

    1. Mount Franklin is owned by Coca-Cola, so it can't really be that pure.

    2. Mount Franklin and Pump Water are actually the same thing.

    3. Mount Franklin water dosn't even come from Mount Franklin, like the guy on the video said, it comes from some place in California.

LOL! Some people are such suckers :)

  • Agreed on alll levels except the third one. Pump water is also owned by coke( im pretty sure), but that doesnt mean that its the same thing. They do taste different after all.

  • U R probably correct, in saying that Pump and Mount Franklin taste different, I just said that because that's what they thought on Gruen Transfer (which is a show about ads, in case u don't live in Australia) :)

  • Yeah man i live in aus. And yeah i watched Gruen Transfer. Waiting for the next season to come out :P

Yeah, i think they were commenting on how they get the water from sydney water for REDICULOUSLY low prices. Like 50c for a kilolitre or something.

But yeah, its still tap water. You are definately right on that front :)

  • Sorry It's been so long but I was realy busy, I just wanted to tell u season 3 of Gruen is coming March 2010, same cast, same segments.

  • Mount franklin are lying #$%ards! lol. Do you know from where in California it is sourced?

  • Na man, I got all my info from Gruen Transfer and they didn't say, sorry.

  • what's your point?

  • im drinking EVIAN

mmmm natural mineral water from fance (y) :P lol

  • Whats wrong with drinking tasty tap water? I don't really care if my bottled water comes off a spring or tap. As long as i have water.

  • nice

  • Maybe. But he's really, really not.

  • Perhaps he is confused. LOL

  • Lol, that's cute. But he's really really NOT! :)

  • @WhatYouOughtToKnow your soo cute :) and way intelligent

  • @WhatYouOughtToKnow i bought a bottle of spring water today. i thought it was interesting that the water that had traveled for thousands of years underground now had a use by date on it :P

  • If you keep reusing the bottle and don't clean it well enough, it will get gross. It's far better to get a new bottle every time for that reason. Those bottles are not so easy to clean.

  • The re-usable bottle...a canteen... Such a horrible thing to use instead?

  • Wahhhhh globel warming... I get the earth is in troble, but want to know who else needs our help? Darfur, Kenya and Tibet. Lets worry about murders then we can recycle.

  • 100M refuges of global warming beats 6M deaths of Congo war. Darfur, African countries, Tibet and Columbia would prob. be cheaper to help though. CO2 doesn't pollute water or make it difficult to breathe, except indirect effects of global warming. Rainforest is probably the biggest environmental concern cause they will be gone in 10-20 years, a little shorter than warming predictions, and hold about 50% of species.

  • @Comic4hire lets do both

  • @Comic4hire

The resources that we're depleting is (shockingly...) HELPING to keep those places you've used as examples as poor as possible. The resources that WE'RE depleting is helping to rid every animal of its habitat, it's helping to speed up the rate of extinction of species, and it is destroying this planet. Without this planet there is no need to worry about murders and starvation because, well, we'll all be dead anyway. I wonder what's more important.

  • @Comic4hire Actually, we can do both, who says we have to pick one?

  • @Comic4hire Yes, so we can all live happily together as our ecosystems crash. You can't prioritize based on the emotional appeal of the problem. You have to judge each problem by its severity and urgency, not by how nice it looks in some clever one-liner.

  • @Comic4hire Ok so your saying we should completely ignore other problems that exist and worry about 3 countries that are too corrupt fix with our military invading and appointing a Government and leader for them (as we do).

I mean this issue does exist why not say it exists while helping the undeveloped countries.

But we cant help Africa. Their problem is European rule. So in order to fix that The Europeans will have to right their wrongs. Which they I highly doubt they will ever do.

  • @Comic4hire This isn't about global warming. This is about saving resources so that we don't unnecessarily destroy things that may come in handy later on in life. I know politics are important but resources are a big political issue in some of the countries that are in jeopardy at the moment. This is a little bit late so I'm guessing you don't care, or even remember for that matter. I'll be really surprised if you reply. lol

  • I guess the opposite would be toilet water?
