I love this movie....everybody thinks I act soo much like Heather number 1. But I was thought Heather number two was hotter.....Shannen Doherty plays Heather number two.
1) it's a form of self-flagellation, she hurts herself because she feels she needs to be punished, but still isn't willing to go to prison.
2) She's in shock at what she's done, and she burns herself to make sure she's still alive. A sort of jolt to the system, if you will. A bit extreme, but then again, Veronica is rather eccentric.
This flick was OK in the '80s, but high school has changed a lot since then. Back then, for instance, there had never been a school shooting. Also, jocks don't have to rape chicks. Chicks give up pussy to dumb guys with big egos. It's the nerds that have to resort to date rape, but they're too scared of being ass raped in jail to do anything but be happy never to get laid.
This movie seemd mainly like the Departed just about everyone is dying, Also bad things happening in High School but getting away with them. So it's like the Wild Wild West in High School.

Perhaos she feels so awful over helping JD kill two guys, and her easily hateable nemesis, and it's beggining to affect her in a negative way. If she was depraved she would do these things with JD without a problem but that's not the case. It's pretty much one individaul getting mixed up with the a hazerdous individual, and doing harmful behavior with the hazerdous individual.
