I hope that something is done at the 2012 Super Bowl for the 10 year remembering, Listen up Indianapolis and the NFL commission. It means the same now as 10 years ago.
9.11. A beautiful day now. A day where we remember and recognize each other. Any setbacks, we move forward! Every name on that list is a name dear to our hearts.
My mother (Florence Cohen) died in the South Tower on 9/11 and I never realized that her name was displayed at the Super Bowl. You just never know where life will lead you. Thank you for sharing this video.
@ReJoyce61 I am so sorry to hear you lost your mother in the south tower. I lost my father in the Vietnam War when i was only 7 months old. Might not be the same but I can relate to how you are feeling. God bless you.
@ReJoyce61 Saying "I'm sorry for your loss" seems so trite and meaningless, but you're in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you've been able to find some peace after such a horrific event.
The best superbowl half time performance by any band and the only performance to completely out shine the super bowl... This performance sealed U2 the biggest band in the world..
@ron042704 - I'm so sorry to hear that man, and this might be an incredibly insensitive thing to ask, but was their names up on that screen? :/ I feel for your loss, and I must be honest and say that it's very hard for me to see this clip, because it brings me back to a time that's very difficult for anyone in the western world .. Hopefully we won't have to go through it again, any one of us ..
Hard to believe that is been almost 10 yrs since some many bright stars were suddenly darkened! Let us learn from our past so that we will grow into even more greatness as a nation....Let us NEVER forget, NEVER stop learning and NEVER stop our quest for peace around the world... we owe that to our children!!
I have watched this video many times before and I had never realized the significance of the banner with all the names. Once the banner reached it limit with all the names on it, it came crashing down a la the towers. I am absolutely overwhelmed with emotions once again.
Such a sad tragedy for the American ppl of newyork, I am canadian and it traumatized our nation as well, on that very day I went to the American Embassy here in ottawa and left some white rose at the gates of the Embassy.=(
This has to be one of the best moments in Television history. U2's symbolic guesture that "we're all Americans" was true class. God Bless the USA and those who stand with us.
@RUDEGOOD the head of those pieces of fucking shit is dead, fuck them, RIP those americans who lost their lives on 9/11, no matter how bad the economy gets or how bad anything gets, for the rest of my life ill look to those heros on 9/11 and our troops as motovation to do anything, and will eternely remember those who we lost on that day, when i was 6, which was also my brothers first birthday, let us not remember tht day for the cowards who attacked us, but for the way our country stood togethe
President Bush said the attack came from a faceless coward....he isnt faceless anymore, and he has a bullet hole in his head!! God Bless OUR Homeland and those who proudly defend it! HOOOAHHH
I agree, they were cowards!! God Bless the USA!! I still want to know,....why we just cant bomb these people and keep our troops intact, so sad that we dont GET IT!
"Sleep with the angels on your clouds, Dream, Dream" 911 touched everyone of all ages. I remember I was about 10 I watched it on the NEWS before school. I sat and cried with my mom & dad. My cousins are serving in the war. I thank everyone who has given their lifes for us Americans & the ones who died. I know the feeling. America was in morning. I know I didn't know anyone on those planes or builds. BUT my heart goes out to you. u2 makes me proud to be part irish ^ ^ socal
Being able to be serve along side of some of the greatest people I have ever known, NYPD, FDNY, EMS, PAPD and others. I will always be grateful to them and their selfless service. Those great Americans renewed my faith in humanity, after it was almost entirely erased. God bless to all the victims, their surviving family and friends and to all of us for coming together. Now with the 10th anniversary coming up, PLEASE LET US NEVER FORGET. and thank you U2 and other bands being there for us!
@RUDEGOOD RIGHT ON BROTHER! RIGHT ON! The events of that day will forever be engrained inour generation's "pscyhe" like Pearl Harbor or when JFK was assassinated, were to our parents and grandparents. While we witnessed the horrid cowardly evils some people can inflict on others, we also witnessed how people can amazingly come together and watch each others' backs. I know this personally, for I had the honor to serve our country as a 9-11 first responder for a month in NYC, .
This video gives me chills from start to finish. The first time i saw him open his jacket to show the stars and stripes i was on the verge of tears. Truly amazing
atouching tribute to al lof these angels that were murdered on 9/11.as a canadian that worked with United I was devestated by this senseless act of terrorism. If this was a johad why wasnt Osama on the planes?Abig thank you to U2 for giving credit to the victoms of 9/11,May those that were killed that day rest in peace.
I love U2 for this. I know this song wasn't written for this event but i loved it. This is the first time I watch this and I found myself crying in the middle of this song. A great tribute to everyone who died in the 9/11 attacks. God bless America
One of the best moments ever, in Tribute of those who innocently lost their lives because some people don't like the way we live ours... God Bless U2!
don't even waste time on trash like those people, just enjoy the performance and remember how we were touched by this performance, and how, no matter what kind of human trash that inhabits this earth, like the people who did that attack, there will ALWAYS be more good people who will stand up to that...

@HaloRainRogers dude you have your opinion but i dont beleive that i plan to grow up and do law enforcement but people like you make me sick thinking that people only save lives for money
@HaloRainRogers That's my point man if a doctor saves your life you don't care he is only doing it to get paid. Bono raises money to save tens of thousands of lives in African and there are people alive that to his actions that otherwise would be dead so does it really matter that he is only doing it to feed his ego?
I remember watching this when I was 8 years old. I was the biggest Rams fan ever and cried after seeing my team lose by 3. However, what I remembered most from that night was this incredible halftime show.
@ImThePutz and ppl tried to say he abused the american flag BS it was the best show ever in america from the best Irish band ever,, they have been thru a lot too
Never ever will/can this event ever be justified, its a shock and scary to think there are people out there that felt that it was necessary! Religion and money can do some strange things to people but still doesn't make it OK

@EvilPlipster I don't understand how people say that, look at their modest stage and the massive monument to 9/11 how is that egotistical?

I remember watching this when I was 8 years old. I was the biggest Rams fan ever and cried after seeing my team lose by 3. However, what I remembered most from that night was this incredible halftime show.
Proud to be an American.

Never ever will/can this event ever be justified, its a shock and scary to think there are people out there that felt that it was necessary! Religion and money can do some strange things to people but still doesn't make it OK
