It really saddens me that there is so much negativity about N~ NSG. If anything, the series is too secure in its own quality and is able to poke gentle fun at itself while acting as an incitement of the anime industry as a whole.

The simple backgrounds recall a time when the Hanna-Barbara model was king but the Japanese improved this and provided a beautiful work of art across which the characters moved and interacted. Seminal works like "Crusher Joe" are made homage without shame or fear.
