My grandma used to add a few drops of nail polish remover to her polish after they became thick. I wonder if that will help them disburse. Gonna try b/c I want to do 2nite with my old thick polish. I've tried marbling 4 times and it was a big mess. It all stuck together in one blob. No way to drag a pattern. I guess the polish was already too dry.
Yeah, this video is no good. Doesn't give you all the information you need. Just tried this with my nails using this video and it was an epic fail. Plus you can't read the directions. White on white is a bad idea.
DUDE!? I've tried 10 DIFFERENT brands of Nail Polish ( LastingFinishPro, 60SecindsRimmelLondon, XtreamWear, NYC, Insta-Dry, L.A. ColorsColorCraze, SalonExpert, WetnWildWildDry, WetnWildWildShine, AND ArtDeco) and it doesn't spread out like this, it only stays in one tiny blob, like I'll put the first blob in and it'll spread but when I add the 2nd it doesn't move. I use room temperature water too AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!! -.-' HELP!?!
THIS WILL GET YOUR NAIL POLISH TO SPREAD!!! READ!!!
Ok. The trick is to find the right kind of nail polish. I found out that Pure Ice and Sinful Colors are really good brands. Anytype of runny kind of nailpolish will work the best. You don't want chunky, dried, or thick nail polish, you kinda want a runneish type. Pure ice is the best i've ever found. and it's less than $2 a bottle.
guys commenting that it didnt work, try using filtered warmish water, and make sure its really opaque good polish such as china glaze. don't use sparkles.
if you use the wrong polish then it wont work u need to find polish that will expand!! so theres no need to post negative comments ur just being mean and are too lazy to try more
Please do not use tape it can ruin thedesired look and take the nail polish on your nail and peal it off Put some lipbalm on ur finger or some lotion(NONWATERY KIND!) then wipe it of with a napkin hope this helps :)!
@Preciosa2112 You can do as many as you can fit...I would recommend leaving out the thumb and just do that finger alone but you can do the other four at once.
hello, reader. If you started reading this, don't stop or else. I hate people who post these kind of comments but.... This junk dont work for me! I tried. The polish dont spread, and when I try n use the toothpick it just sticks to it!! urgh I have tried a million times with all different temps of room temp water.
I did it today and it took me four hours, but I found that Revlon and Sally Hansen Insta-Dry (ironically) work the best, at least out of what I have. ^o^
@rockstar98aj You probably just have to do it in warmer water. If your nail polish you're using is old it sometimes doesn't work! Just try warmer water and different colors (:
Helloo....Just thought i would ask you a quick question.....Whenever i try this, the nail polish just stays in one small blob and doesn't spread?......Do you know why this is happening??....Many thanks :D
@WeDoHaveCookies you probably need a bigger glob to drop. also, let the blob drop naturally. dont touch the glob to the water and dont touch the brush to the water. just let the blob fall from the brush into the water :)
@WeDoHaveCookies i've tried this and it works.u should know that u need to use room temperature water(not warm, not cold) and try a low density nail polish.not all polishes work..try many and choose the one that works..hope u succeed :D
Also theree is another thing; It takes forever for the paint to come of the brush (im running low on my nail varnishes haha). Could i add water to my nail varnish or would that ruin it?? Many thanks :) xoxo
@WeDoHaveCookies i cant really answer u cause i had full bottles of polish so i didnt care about the quantity XD but u may try it with a drop or just take it out by running a small stick over the brush.. :)
Hello everyone! When you get a chance (after watching these amazing videos of course) could you come check out my nail art videos? Let me know how I'm doing! Thanks! :)
... you need to use filtered water, the nail polish will spread better, and you can do multiple nails at once but make sure you put them all in at the exact same time, and if you use petroleum jelly or chapstick instead of tape it is way easier and less messy
@stephanie1537 kay yah that happened with me too but like i tried again and maybe try dropping the drops from a higher point like idk for me it spread like the fifth time but i was still a fail anyway so it doesnt really matter but yah
Well I use the Xtremes. Also it could be the water you use. Make sure its filtered, tap wont work for me, neither will bottles water. I just get it from my fridge and let it sit for 5 minutes.
@stephanie1537 You'll need to play with the water temperature. Turn off any fans and close AC vents because any air movement will dry the polish too fast. I had a heck of time getting started until reading someone else's tip about the moving air. 8) I also don't worry about taping the fingers - it's easy enough to get that thin layer of polish off the skin, then use a nail brush, soap and water to get the cuticles.
@stephanie1537 use a different nail polish. You cant really tell what kind of nail polish is gonna actually work until you try it so just keep experimenting and you'll eventually find some that works.
I love this new technique of doing nails! sorry for the spelling! But I do have a question, what do you recommend I use to guard the skin around the nails? i used scotch tape, yet it still got all around my nail on the skin lol. any advice will be greatly appreciated! btw i subbed ya :)
