when a budgie bites its feathers those are "blood feathers" *i read about em* its growing so it needs a new pair.they will do that each spring if im not mistaken.i dont know i only started budgie care a few weeks maybe 1 month ago.but i read all sorts of budgie care articles and helping them may be painful for them at the time but it will be helpful so when its done it will respect you more and like you.
