  • Real astronomers don't use the imperial system.

    Learn to Kelvin.

  • A Question Do CMEs cause Heat Wave Days Here on Earth when during summer months the tempertures rise to 100 + degrees for several days or weeks I was just curious RSVP

  • 2008! a planet! 25 light years!

  • thumbs up if you wached this on 11/11/11

  • We barely found out about Auroras in 2008?

  • Here I leave some videos NA SA's extraordinary, I hope you enjoy, best regards

  • why don't they fling a camera into a black hole and take video of it and put it on youtube and get 100,000,000 views and make bank!

  • fake and gay

  • @Dinocrap1101 lol wtf??? no

  • is it wrong that this video gave me a boner

  • @bornhunter100 No, but it is wrong to discuss it over the internet.

  • @bornhunter100 YOU PROBABLY LIKED THE GUY IN THE VIDEO.. HAHA

  • @7drift0king2 thats what she said

  • Science is cool, but its hard as shit...

  • HAARP

  • I remember how fascinated I was when the first planet outside our solar system was discovered, my parents replied "so what?"

  • This is a good explanation of 'serious smart' people that still has good humor in themselves! :D

  • Check out SDO!

It makes SOHOs pictures of the sun look like 1998's video games.

Seriously, pictures up to 4096 on the nasa website! Great screen savers.

    I use a picture from my birthday ^ ^

  • Does anyone know why we humans know more about space than oceans?

  • @SpaceMusicTV It's harder to go deep and see deep than through space.

  • Great Video! Thanks!

  • Long live the NASA !!

  • Um, did he just say "Under the acronym of: Penis"? I'm a bit confused on why that was on discovery...

  • wO0O0O0O0ORALE

  • backround: a Blue Dwarf i think

  • we are 1 year out of phase, that's ok, we are still interfering constructively =}

  • ha happy new year is right but its not 2009

  • I realize there is only so much you can put into those mars rovers, but cant you put a better camera on those things?

  • haha True dat

I mean they spend millions of dollars on those mars rovers, but they cant spend $500 dollars on an HD Camera

  • @drewcarey619 SERIOUSLY!!

  • @drewcarey619 irt has to stand a lot of pressure and fumes and this is the only thing that can last

  • @drewcarey619 You are spoiled.. You wish hd quality from mars rovers? It would take ages to transmit that much information.

  • @Arturas12 Yeah....they probably had to balance the quality of the photographic data with time constraints. You'd want to get as much good-quality data in a short a time as possible in case something went wrong. IMO.

  • @drewcarey619 RIGHT they pay like a billion for the thing but they cant put in atleast a 12 megapixel video camra or something

  • @drewcarey619 they chould have put a better camera, but then you have to think about all the additional stuff that whould have to acompany that camera, better batteries, improved radio transmitter ( again using more power ) plus lots of other things, then the weight goes up............. its a traded of between function, and being bale to get it there and use it fully..

  • @drewcarey619 they dont want a really good camera on the rovers, because we might see somthing they dont want us too!

  • @drewcarey619 well i guess the camera is still really heavy because it has to be built really robust

  • @drewcarey619 i dont think the camera matters, i think it has to do with how the images and data is all sent back to earth

  • @drewcarey619 its cause its all fake you ding dong take it in they spend billions on space shuttles but cant afford a camera?

  • @drewcarey619 You're not searching hard enough, there are tons of beautiful high def videos and pics of mars taken by the landers

  • @drewcarey619 they probably could (although the camera is not as bad as you probably think, go search some photos from the rover and you'll see that it's pretty high quality, super high-res panoramic pics), but we will always think that, we do have to take into consideration that when they start to send images, the technology is a year old or more (this for Mars) because of the travel time and the final assembly that is done way before they launch it, they can't be doing it near launch date.

  • @drewcarey619 These rovers are almost ten years old. Curiosity will have an HD camera.

  • @drewcarey619 Sure. We can give them cameras that would make James Cameron green with envy. We just can't transmit the images back to Earth fast enough to make it worth the weight.

  • Woah. My dads name is James Williams lol

  • YOU HAVE TWO DADDIES

    :D

  • in about 2030 or 2040, whenever we go to mars, people will be saying 5 to 10 years afterwords that it was faked, thell come up with some silly thing

  • do the little mars prob things have live cams? if not i wonder why

  • They're not using the cam in streaming... They just take picture, request a movement of the rover, take another picture etc.

Plus, it take 7 min to get a signal from mars to earth (speed of light).

    Ex:

    Request picture 7 min

    Request movement 7 min

Rover move, and send back another picture 7 min.

I don't think it's very entertaining to get a frame every 15-30 min...

  • I love this video. James Williams totaly looks like my cousin lol

  • nobody gives a fuck, and by the way I hope your cousin will explode

  • lol me too

  • ok then :)

  • Go go science.

  • take a picture of the sun in it will look black tape the sun in u will see a bean its pretty wierd

  • come again?

  • sorry "RECORD" the sun then look down in it will look like a big lightning bolt or somthing

  • KUDOS TO NASA! w00t

  • Becoolman79, the Sun's not blue. The picture is merely blue because it looks at the sun under a different wavelength of light (ultraviolet light - as compared to visible light). :P

Hope that answers your question. :D

  • i heard somewhere the sun is actuly white, is that ture?

  • Well... it's white in our eyes because all the colours are present. I mean, if you stare at the sun one morning (I don't recommend it), you won't see a yellow ball but a white bright ball. That's what they meant by the sun is "white". However, if we compare it to other stars, our sun is actually closer to the shade of yellow.

  • sure there is a blue sun, blue stars are the hottest ;)

  • is there really a blue sun? o.o"

  • Yes.

  • LOVE SPACE!

  • i commend you for specifing which pictures were real and which ones were an artists rendition.kudos to all!

  • Science is cool.

    Happy birthday NASA and ISS.

  • @Saukko31 Sorry but saying science is cool immediately makes it lame. Yes science is cool but you don't fucking say that like my mom...

  • Happy Birthday NASA!!:D

  • but late

  • Great job space agencies around the globe! :)

  • Its like, Number 1 moment, We Landed On The Sun!

  • nice :)

  • cool video.

  • cool images

  • nice 5/5
