@sexycooljulesverne The camera shows the coil as purple because it can see infrared light that our eyes can't. In this case the invisible to us infrared light is much brighter than the visible red glow we are familiar with. So from our perspective it should be red, from the Cameras perspective purple is the right color representing the infrared light you can't see. Most Cameras these days of decent quality have infrared filters on the optics to keep you from seeing this.
