I too saw Davy and the Monkees in 1967 at Wembley and it was just like this video, we had to stand on the seats as everyone was standing and it was one big scream, you saw the lads on the stage but couldn't hear ANYTHING as EVERYBODY was screaming ALL THROUGH THE WHOLE SHOW!! It was a relief to get out afterwards!!!

@TheJohnson76 I completely agree. He was handsome beyond words, sweet, funny, sensitive and talented. What a package? I've loved Davy since I was just a couple years old. My older brother had a couple Monkees albums and my mother bought the 45 of Daydream Believer. I played those records so much that I wore them out.

@Poochyenagirl Wow! Sounds like me. My older sisters had the albums which I quickly confiscated. I wore out those grooves. Still have a few of their 45's. Being a guy I was jealous of Davy's good looks, lol. Those were awesome times, awesome music. Those Monkee records were a gold mine. I still listen to them today as if it was yesterday, in fact I probably appreciate them more!

@lakefloor Now my 12 year old daughter loves the Monkees. At her junior high orientation one of her friends ran up to her and started a conversation. It was funny because she mentioned that my daughter said she wanted to marry Davy Jones.

@lakefloor It's hard to believe that it's been 44 years since the Monkees debuted on TV. I was only a year old when it came on but I can remember watching it as a very young child. I think it came on as reruns when I was about 5 years old. I bought the DVD sets of both seasons and I really enjoy watching all the episodes. From what I understand Time magazine recently voted the Monkees as one of the top 100 shows of all time.

@Poochyenagirl Wow I never heard that. I'm glad they've received some type of recognition. I got to see them "live" twice, unfortunately both times were without Nesmith. Great show either way. I think I would have turned 5 when their show first aired. I had to drop everything to be sure and watch it. Those were the days.

Absolutely love this song and video. I've been in love with Davy since I was 5 years old. I watched Monkees reruns in 1970 and ever since I was hooked. In my opinion Davy is the best looking man that ever walked the earth. Not only is he good looking but he's extremely talented and sweet.

To who was debating on Davy's height , remember he said "In boots I'm 5'3". He wore 2.5 to 3 inch heel beatle boots/winklepickers and fitted size 7 rings and has a size 8 foot. I never knew I'd grow up and be exactly the same size as him!

Davy sent me a (Non) autographed picture in 1998 -Can't remember what I sent him, drawing likely- I actually threw the envelope in the garbage But I suddenly remembered what his handwriting looked like (Brady Bunch episode). The "Autograph" was the addressed envelope and then I realized what day it was that afternoon- Saturday, Feb 14th 1998. It was the only thing in the box, Davy Jones was my Valentine! He totally timed it!
