  • Another #1 hit for Lynn Anderson on the Country & Western charts. It was the 255th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. It also hit #1 on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts.

  • YES SHE IS A GREAT SINGER WITH GREAT VERSATILITY AND STYLE! TOO BAD SHE DEVELOPED A DRINKING ISSUE AND ANGER MANAGEMENT LATER IN LIFE!

  • this song is so incredibly beautiful, it blows me away every time, lol... i love singing this song cause its so heartfelt and sweet. Its a song about solidarity and love. Whats to dislike? lol

  • Lynn is not dead. She is one of the greatest singers of country I've ever heard. I don't believe she got the recognition she deserved though.

  • Great performance (and she's not dead). Don't know what you all are expecting since you can't read or form a cohesive sentence. Perhaps you should go back to the pond scum you came from and drown your fat asses.

  • she is prob dead now

  • She is smoking this! Lynn is so often missed when we talk about the great voices. Pete Carr (I believe) on guitar and I don't know who was playing steel???

  • I always wanted Lynn and Elvis to sing a few songs together.. I bet it would of been GREAT.....

  • AFTER ALL IS SAID AND DONE, NO ONE CAN OUTSING lynn1! She is the queen of Country! Maybe Patsy and Brenda can compare!

  • @treehuggerdude4 i meant to say " perfect song post 60's in the long uncertain 70's

  • WE LOVE YOU LYNN THEN AND NOW

  • ...never a big hit for lynn...i thought it was great...!

  • @yedon68 this song went to #1 in 1973, definitely a big hit!

  • @glcmolly ...true....Lynn and her record company expected big crossover appeal..

    it did not happen...and I agree w/ them..it should....thanks

  • @yedon68 If it was a #1 record, how much "bigger" could it have been? I think for her (or anyone) to sit around thinking every song is gonna be a "Rose Garden" (#1 in 16 countries around the world, top of virtually every chart around then, except for R&b), would be a bit unrealistic. That was a once in a career kinda song - if you're lucky.

  • LOVE THIS!!! Thank you.

  • love this

  • wow love this have not heard this song in years SHE IS GREAT

  • Love this!!

  • What a great song...and artist

  • Wow!!!

    That was LIVE!!

no artist today could top that!!

  • GREAT VOICE

  • well shit Wendy, you got it all over the floor! One man I licked is Kung Fu!

  • This is one of my all time favorite Lynn Anderson songs...this was a number 1 hit for Lynn in 1973, what a mature voice she had at only 26 years old! Thanks for posting, her live version is even better than the recorded version!

  • It's surprising that, after "Rose Garden" she didn't have more success on the pop charts. This song is such an elegant, smooth pop-sounding confection, it would have fit right in with the other stuff pop radio was playing in the early '70s.

  • you have nice music thank you
