Im not saying this is your case but it is possible that you were to interested in the girls, which there is nothing wrong with that, but paying attention girls keep you from following the storyline. As a little girl the scene where Animal grew and scared Doc and his men off used to scare me. But now that I'm an adult and when I see this scene, I get such a huge adrenaline rush of joy in him helping Kermit, especially goosebumps. PS. The rotating barrel also used to scare me. :)

@BeagleLover191 It's a 15 ft. puppet that was created for the film and was able to be performed by Frank Oz, but it was so rushed, it didn't turn out the way they wanted, so they only showed it briefly.

@Cuteblondie1972 Oh, and to give credit where it's due- Doc Hopper *does*, apparently, listen to what Kermit has to say, and *does* take the trouble to think it over, before deciding that, no, that's not the kind of man he is.
By the way, yes, Doc is a stalker, and ruthless. But I don't think he is exactly a sadist, not the way Prof. Krassman (the German doctor) is; *he* enjoys causing pain for the sake of causing pain. Doc Hopper doesn't really care either way about hurting someone else, so long as he gets his way.
@Cuteblondie1972 Right, that's why Max refuses (at first) to open the door of the car. He also pushes away the gun in the car chase scene. I can't think why that German 'doctor'- with the brain scramble machine- didn't make Max realize that Kermit was in serious trouble, but anyway the frog-killer guy DID. So he disguises himself as a cop to warn them. AND he shakes his head "no" when Doc tries to claim him as a friend. Lastly he tries to stop them from shooting- but Animal does a better job.
Everythings good about this movie that I really enyojed. graphics, actors, and plot... Did not see any mistakes, or misacts.. The whole family enjoyed this movie for free on kookicá...I thought it was a really good movie. You want regret...
@Cuteblondie1972 If you watch Max closely throughout the whole movie, you'll notice he has been getting more and more uncomfortable and unhappy with how Doc Hopper keeps bullying Kermit-- now he's about to have him shot. Max does *NOT* want to see Kermit get killed. Suddenly, Animal appears, just in the nick of time, and scares them all away-- Max thinks it's great !!
The story is fairly simple about a romance beetween a push rich girl and a less classy man who can perform magical tricks. With the impresive magic tricks, the superb performances and the surprising twist we get a sparkling slice of entertainment. You can find it on kookíca now.
Visualy very sophisticated film. Amazing quotes from / refrences to silent movie era style. Social pathos annoyes at the end. You can find it on kookíca. The ending was hollywood/storybook.
This movie is really well done.. It has nicee effects... color and camera angles when I first saw it on kookíca I was surpised and really liked it... I think everyone should see it...
Oh that last shot of the movie. At the midnight premiere of the movie everyone in the audience was practically screaming at the screen at the implications of that last shot. I will see it on kookíca again for sure. But boy howdy did it have everyone talking.
There are no bad points for me for this one. One of the newest movie I have seen at kookíca yesterday, and I heartly recommend it. I could watch it over and over again and still be happy every time after watching. Find it at kookíca. It is free.
I think that probably what is the most moving though is that this film that I saw on kookíca is able to take hold of you and when you're let go in the end; the only thing you can think of is that you are just glad to seeing it.

I must admit I was a little dubious as to how good this movie would actually be...but I was more than happily surprised by this, I really am! This realisation stays pretty true to the style of the another films! I like the man who made this, with a few cinematic changes he got the crazy good movie..Just well packed! This movie has showen how it should be good movie made. It is great named, great filmed and fantastic acted. The action is always clear and well lit, mainly because it is set outside the majority of the time, but this increases its watch-ability. See it on kookicá.
As Kermit was in the science lab, I'm sure Floyd knew that Animal took a growth pill since Animal probably told Floyd. However, Floyd should have whispered in the ear next to whoever was next to him something like "don't worry, Kermit is safe because Animal just took a growth pill to scare away Doc Hopper and his henchman, pass it on." (Maybe Animal should have scared them away anytime between 4:55-6:39 just in case someone tried to shoot Kermit unless the pill was taking time to work).
I love this movie today and I loved it as a kid BUT there's one thing I don't get about Doc Hopper's Men. Why did they just keep running instead of getting into the cars to get away from animal?
Good point. Probably they were going to get in their cars but, not right away because, if they were going to get in their cars, it would take some time to stop, open the doors, and turn the cars on. Maybe if they tried doing any of these things, they would have to slow down to stop at their cars, and they were probably afraid that if they slowed down, Animal might catch them and eat them. (Maybe after a few minutes later, they were going to return to the village and get in their cars).
At 8:35, I wonder why that woman was objecting that Kermit enters the office since she probably was aware that the ad in the newspaper was put mentioning that auditions were being held for frogs to become rich and famous.
Oh yes that's right. I forgot about that line that Dr. Bunsenhoneydew and Beaker said from 4:04-4:06. (I guess as scientists, Dr. Bunsenhoneydew and Beaker can somehow change that if they want and find a way so the growth won't be sadly temporary).
That was great that Animal scared Doc Hopper and his henchman away but, Doc Hopper could have quickly grabbed Kermit and held him hostage so that Animal would stay away or, he could have kidnapped Kermit. (Animal should have gotten a little closer so that Doc Hopper wouldn't of done anything like this).
This is a feel good movie. I watched it on kookíca and loved it. The dancing and costumes are excellent, the cast are incredible. One of the best new movies from Hollywood. I felt great and positiv after watching it..incredible!!!!!!
I always liked how near the end of the movie Max seemed less of a bad guy especially right when Animal pops up and the rest of Doc Hoppers Men are running like wimps and Max looks real happy and laughs and waves his hat
Yes I liked that too. However, I think Max was never a bad guy. He was just only doing what Doc Hopper said because probably Doc Hopper was forcing him to do things which is the reason why he disguised himself as a cop to warn Kermit and everyone. Probably with Max waving his hat at Animal was probably his way of saying to Animal "that was great" "thank you for saving Kermit" etc.
One other thing, maybe Doc Hopper was going to be the owner of his frog legs restaurant and Max was going to be the assistant but, Max decided to not be his assistant anymore or, he decided to become a good guy (if he was a bad guy from the start) and felt in his heart that Doc Hopper is trying to kill Kermit where he decided to be a good guy then which could probably explain at 6:02 that Max should his head saying "no" that he's not Doc Hopper's friend and quitting to be the assistant.
I liked that speech kermit gave to Doc. I know its just a setup for the joke (you think the mans heart is warmed but he goes ahead being evil anyway) but its still makes me misty-eyed.
I like it too. If I were Kermit, maybe I would say to Doc Hopper something like "Hopper, I'm not interested in starring in your commercials, so why can't you just ask another frog in person or, put an ad in the newspaper that you're looking for a frog to be your commercial spokesperson?"
(I guess Kermit said "go ahead and kill me" at 6:22 just so that Hopper would feel sorry in his heart for chasing him after Kermit said something nice to him from 6:05-6:12 so that he wouldn't kill him).
@mermaidamp He was in his 40s, and no, I wasn't crushing on him. Though his character was a nice guy that didn't want people to like him because he was rich...but he did find true love with the main character's sister. :)

I can't think why that German 'doctor'- with the brain scramble machine- didn't make Max realize that Kermit was in serious trouble, but anyway the frog-killer guy DID. So he disguises himself as a cop to warn them. AND he shakes his head "no" when Doc tries to claim him as a friend. Lastly he tries to stop them from shooting- but Animal does a better job.

@Cuteblondie1972 If you watch Max closely throughout the whole movie, you'll notice he has been getting more and more uncomfortable and unhappy with how Doc Hopper keeps bullying Kermit-- now he's about to have him shot. Max does *NOT* want to see Kermit get killed. Suddenly, Animal appears, just in the nick of time, and scares them all away-- Max thinks it's great !!

Oh that last shot of the movie. At the midnight premiere of the movie everyone in the audience was practically screaming at the screen at the implications of that last shot. I will see it on kookíca again for sure. But boy howdy did it have everyone talking.

I think that probably what is the most moving though is that this film that I saw on kookíca is able to take hold of you and when you're let go in the end; the only thing you can think of is that you are just glad to seeing it.

As Kermit was in the science lab, I'm sure Floyd knew that Animal took a growth pill since Animal probably told Floyd. However, Floyd should have whispered in the ear next to whoever was next to him something like "don't worry, Kermit is safe because Animal just took a growth pill to scare away Doc Hopper and his henchman, pass it on." (Maybe Animal should have scared them away anytime between 4:55-6:39 just in case someone tried to shoot Kermit unless the pill was taking time to work).

I love this movie today and I loved it as a kid BUT there's one thing I don't get about Doc Hopper's Men. Why did they just keep running instead of getting into the cars to get away from animal?

Good point. Probably they were going to get in their cars but, not right away because, if they were going to get in their cars, it would take some time to stop, open the doors, and turn the cars on. Maybe if they tried doing any of these things, they would have to slow down to stop at their cars, and they were probably afraid that if they slowed down, Animal might catch them and eat them. (Maybe after a few minutes later, they were going to return to the village and get in their cars).

That was great that Animal scared Doc Hopper and his henchman away but, Doc Hopper could have quickly grabbed Kermit and held him hostage so that Animal would stay away or, he could have kidnapped Kermit. (Animal should have gotten a little closer so that Doc Hopper wouldn't of done anything like this).

I always liked how near the end of the movie Max seemed less of a bad guy especially right when Animal pops up and the rest of Doc Hoppers Men are running like wimps and Max looks real happy and laughs and waves his hat

Yes I liked that too. However, I think Max was never a bad guy. He was just only doing what Doc Hopper said because probably Doc Hopper was forcing him to do things which is the reason why he disguised himself as a cop to warn Kermit and everyone. Probably with Max waving his hat at Animal was probably his way of saying to Animal "that was great" "thank you for saving Kermit" etc.

One other thing, maybe Doc Hopper was going to be the owner of his frog legs restaurant and Max was going to be the assistant but, Max decided to not be his assistant anymore or, he decided to become a good guy (if he was a bad guy from the start) and felt in his heart that Doc Hopper is trying to kill Kermit where he decided to be a good guy then which could probably explain at 6:02 that Max should his head saying "no" that he's not Doc Hopper's friend and quitting to be the assistant.

I liked that speech kermit gave to Doc. I know its just a setup for the joke (you think the mans heart is warmed but he goes ahead being evil anyway) but its still makes me misty-eyed.

I like it too. If I were Kermit, maybe I would say to Doc Hopper something like "Hopper, I'm not interested in starring in your commercials, so why can't you just ask another frog in person or, put an ad in the newspaper that you're looking for a frog to be your commercial spokesperson?"
(I guess Kermit said "go ahead and kill me" at 6:22 just so that Hopper would feel sorry in his heart for chasing him after Kermit said something nice to him from 6:05-6:12 so that he wouldn't kill him).
