China spends less than 5% of the revenue from what is mined from tibet in minirals. Tibet is being ripped off. The expensive transport system linking tibet to mainland was to populate tibet with Hans and to extract the mineral wealth to china. Tibet will never be free because its rivers feeds hundreds of millions of chinese people. It is a strategic occupation and will remain so no matter what the human cost to the tibetans may be.
