the dodge's handling is actually better than the gt500 and the camaro as well smokes the fuck out of them in the slalom just not as fast as the gt500 at least when its stock

@cortwoodard You are talking about 2 different year cars. Either way the Dodge is not made for handling- it is a big cruiser, although the 2012 model will have much better suspension, it will not hang with the 2012 Mustang.

@MisterPeetBull Yeah, you can do a lot of things to suspension to make it handle better than stock, but I think that the weight of the Challenger is still going to be its 'detriment' when going up against either the 'Stang or the Camaro. But that said, being a family man, the Challenger is my 'muscle cruiser' of choice, because of said same size/weight. Nice large backseat, good sized trunk. Ultimate cruiser.

@bigvirgotube I absolutely agree- it was never made to be a track car, just a bally cruiser that looks like million bucks. I think it's better looking than the stang or camaro, but that is just my opinion.

@drMINDdamage Really? It's not very fast, powerful, economical or very well made. It's crap at going round corners and while it looks pretty good it's hasn't quite got the character of the original. Don't get me wrong, this is a great muscle car but not the greatest and muscle cars aren't that great compared to the rest of the world anyways. If you really want a huge V8 and RWD lunacy, but a Vauxhall Monaro, simply because the handling is superb.

Wow, people like you really need to get your facts straight. This car has fuckin amazing handling. Better then a ferrari? No, of course not. But people like you always make it seem like if you drive one of these you won't be able to stick a corner. And a Vauxhall? I'm sorry, but people that want a Challenger probably get it for the looks and a v8 more than anything. Who the fuck wants a plain looking musclecar? Might as well put a v8 in a Sebring.

@dobadriver Yes it'll go round corners fairly speedily, But. I always got the feeling it was due to the fat tyres rather than a decent chassis setup. I mentioned the Vauxhall simply because I find it a bit of a laugh whereas the Dodge I found frustrating, constantly having to manhandle the thing to the rough direction I wanted it pointed. And as for your 'amazing handling' claim, I've driven family estates that offer a more rewarding handling experience.

@TheWierdFish vauxhall monaro, Aka Pontiac GTO? im pretty sure the new 392 would run circles around the GTO aka (monaro) with the new suspension that Dodge dropped into it... Not bashing the GTO, i think its shortlived modern legend (fourth gen), but if dodge can take the huge LX platform and make it handle like it came from Europe, im pretty sure its not 'crap' at going around corners... @dobadriver lol @ the v8 in a sebring

I've driven 50s sports cars with more poise and feel than a Challenger, that' 60 year old cars with worn joints and bushes that feels nicer than a 4 month old Challenger. Yes it's impressive that something that heavy... no it's not. Porsche Cayenne, RR sport? They are impressive. (BTW, I hate both)

Very nice looking and the butterflies I want on my R/T but come the fuck on 65K and all it is doing is 4.4 .. 0-60 my bone ass stock auto stick 2010 Challenger R/T is getting 5.1 0-60 (my best time so far) OK you can smoke the tires with reckless abandonment but I can spend 600 bucks and buy a Predator Tuner and turn off the esp on my R/T and do the same damn thing . Yes the styling is nice but not and extra 30K nice... but thats my opinion
