The speedometer in my 2005 Chevy Suburban started sticking and jumping after we turned 108,000 miles. During a 70 mile trip it read 40 mph when I was going 65. I took it to my local garage and they suggested replacing the speedo sensor on the transmission, but admitted that it was a rule-out strategy, and they told me that one of their employees was having trouble with his truck and the dealership told him that the entire instrument cluster needed to be replaced for $1000. I op

  • Hey i got a question i have a couple lights burnt out of my radio and if i was to take out the radio would i be able to change the light bulbs? The dealer wants like 275 for a new radio and they said that you cant change the light bulbs you have to get a new radio which i find hard to believe?

  • @MarineCore48154 We can repair the lights for $90, shipping included.

  • This guy is a dick head, sure they will tell you how to remove the cluster, any moron can do that especially after watching the vid.

But ask a question about a simple thing like removing a needle and they will simply tell you that's for us to know and you to pay us to do...

This whole video is just a promotion for their rebuilding facility...

So the video is just glossy spam spam spam...Fing jerks...

  • @DrDooBie1313

To characterize the video as spam seems a little extreme. The video delivers exactly what's promised by the title and description. I'm sorry we weren't able to answer your question, but most people who attempt this repair themselves wind up breaking the gauge needles - resulting in a more costly repair. There are other videos and resources available should you decide to go the DIY route, we're just not one of them.

  • Quick Question for anyone here, I am putting in aftermarket gauges by splicing them into the instrument cluster wires. Already have the tach in but i don't know what colour or pin number any other gauges are. does anyone know any of these?

  • Does the instrument cluster has anything to do with my oil pressure gauge not working properly? 2004 Tahoe

  • @rekrap10 Yes, more than likely.

  • THANK YOU

  • chevy isnt what it use to be every chevy around 02-08 has messed up gauges chevy knew about it but didnt do anything about it

  • We have a kit of 9 bulbs for $19.20 new. Used bulbs will fail wasting all the time to pull the cluster and change. And if you change one you might as well change all. NOTE THESE BULBS MUST BE SOLDERED IN.

Call Southern Electronics (we made the video) to order. 1-800-446-2880

    weekdays Eastern Time.

  • Do you know how i would replace a bulb on my 05 silverado instrument cluster. The one side of my speedometer is dark so i am assuming the bulb is out. I was told i dont have bulbs that are replaceable.

  • @2011wideglide they are not MENT to b replace but go buy a cluster then un solder as many as u need n put them in urs its simple

  • wow!!!!! you guys are great thanks...

  • Yes they sometimes make a clicking noise when they fail.

  • Prior to a speedometer taking a crap,do they make a clicking noise during excelleration and decelleration? 2005 silverado 4x4. Have a noise that just started and sounds like its inside truck? thanks

  • Thanx for the usefull info bro i would have paid alot of money jst to repace it when i can do it myself ...talk about job security.

  • Awesome video, thank you very much !!!!

  • Thanks for the video. It sure looks easy and it's too bad the local GMC dealer told me $250.00 to install and only if it is their $350.00 cluster. So, a removal tool, 4 screws and a plug for $250.00? I'll get you guys to fix mine, reinstall it myself and save almost $400.00. Thanks again.

  • Thanks, for the info now I can fix it.

  • thanks for the video. I may be sending you one from our 2005 buick lesabre soon.
