  • @DavidGBrowning Although I didnt really exist. But every explanation of different things in the shows really makes sense and it has the possibillity to happen, I believe.

  • I think they should keep this version!!

  • Personal Computing: Have it. Cold Fusion: not yet. DNA profiling: have it. Cloning: have it. Nanotechnology: not yet. Invisibily: not yet. Genetic Engineering: have it. Laser surgery: have it. Stealth Technology: have it. In Vitro Fertilization: have it. Virtual reality: debunked.

  • this is the real sound! :D

  • It really makes you stop and think how far we've come since 1981 technologically.

  • hehehehe. oh, i get such a cheap thrill out of this. thanks fior posting it!

  • omg

  • so tron.

  • Personal Computting, NanoTechnology, Genetic Engineering, Laser Surgery, Steath Technology, Virtual Reality, Something we all achieved..

  • @FobCrazyAzn Nano Technology not yet

  • @FobCrazyAzn

invisibility too, to a certain degree :P

  • Extremly cool!

  • this was so awesome

  • an opener for past time for the 3rd season finale i wish they change it into futuristic style fringe theme 2021

  • awesomest tv episode i have ever seen

  • Is this pure geniality or not?

  • @tennajake that's the point. It's meant to be all 80's and stuff. I don't think it's bad, though. The regular intro is amazing.

  • Oh my god, I just loved it when this appeared.... pure awesomeness!!!

  • well, all we need to do is to figure out cold fusion and invisibility and we're done with that to-do list!

  • Cool, I just realized now that the stuff showing up on this opening are things that we've already scientifically achieved, such as in vitro fertilization, stealth technology, PCs, nano technology, etc. Very creative!

  • Did this opening title sequence actually air on one of the episodes of Fringe? If so, which one was it??

  • @WoodySaXMan Episode 16, season 2, Peter

  • @WoodySaXMan Yes - season 2, episode 16 - "Peter". It'll probably be used in this week's episode too, "Subject 13," as it's another flashback ep...

  • God, this sucks.

  • @Tennajake You have bad taste.

  • did A. Kramer also created this intro ?! nice 80s taste :P

  • i prefere the old one

  • I literally broke into hysterical laughter when i first saw this

  • OMG FRAPS

  • Brilliant. Just... brilliant!

  • good and and very surprising alternate opening, I love the stuff whrite who don't seems very exceptionnel our days "personnal computing", "laser surgery", "stealth technology" and "in vitro fertilisation", that was a good touch, very welcome for this year and verry funny. Also I like the doctor who style of the typo ^^

  • Sooo reminds of the music and feel of "Probe" from 1988 with Parker Stevenson.

  • hahaaaa epic !!!!

  • Makes you wonder, is everything in 'Fringe' possible to do...?

I mean Abrams said he based this show on possible science...

  • @DavidGBrowning This is coming from the guy who made LOST... I think he has a different perception on the world then everyone else.

  • @DavidGBrowning I think possible is the key word there...it's possible....in the year 2780. :L

  • Virtual Reality , Personal Computing? This is impossible , burn themXD

  • I was like wtf when I first saw it, then I was OMG.

  • This intro and this whole episode was really super awesome. Can't wait for Season 3 to start!!! :)

  • Thumbs up if you want them to make more episodes and openings like this, or reuse this!

  • i lol'ed at how "personal computing", "DNA profiling, "laser surgery", "in vitro fertilization" and "virtual reality" were fringe sciences back in the 80's

    :D

  • @GonoManiax Focus on your own writing.

  • lol everything that's mentionned in there never was fringe science in the 80s...

It was considered plausible and wasn't as creepy nor crazy as what we see in Fringe. Even in 20 years some of the stuff in Fringe will still seem creepy/crazy I bet. :P

But seriously, I love this show!

  • jj abrams is a fucking genious

  • btw, nice new intro, looking for a nice remix of this intro version... :)

  • lol, use the Retail Fraps by FOSI (disable the watermarks):

    Beepa.Fraps.v3.2.2.retail-FOSI

  • where can i find more music in this 8bit sounding style, i desire more. assist me in my quest.

  • @hond4sh XD LMAO. Good question!

  • the idea was great!

I just didnt like the hand - why isnt it with those 6 fingers?

  • We still haven't gotten invisibility!

  • @Velvetdusk09

    Technically speaking, we have.

    Technically.

  • This intro is decades behind.

So much better than the usual one tho!

  • This was freaking fantastic!!!!It should be the new intro!

  • XD "personal computing" maybe my laptop has more flops than then best from back then

  • Awesome!

  • I loved it <3

  • I got a good chuckle out of this when I first saw it =]

  • but neways siCk intro

  • @armornone This video was about Walter Bishop and his son Peter in the 80's, 1985 to be exact. The intro was made as if the show went back in time, and of course those technologies were on the cusp of being discovered. But alas, they were still fringe science... in the mid 80's.

  • Love this intro, as for the technology (80's fringe science):

    Personal Computing: Accomplished -Cloning: Accomplished

Nanotechnology: In Development (is in original intro too)

    DNA Profiling: Accomplished

Cold Fusion: Discredited (US Navy doing some research on it...)

Invisibility: In Development -Genetic Engineering: Accomplished

Laser Surgery: Accomplished -Stealth Technology: Accomplished

In Vitro Fertilization: Accomplished -Virtual Reality: Accomplished

  • u kno, if this were a real melody in a song back in the 80s, it would have been a hit!! i could just see all those mullets!

  • I love how everything there either happened, or was disproven.

  • @wikiporno Actually no nanotechnology has not really happened yet, but also has not yet been disproven it is a technology that is well within the realms of possibility BUT of course we just havent developed it very far or even at all yet.

  • @limetang : They have been developing nanotechnology to fight cancer, and have been testing a specific protein that can be delivered into the body and targets the cancer while the rest of the piece breaks down

  • @BuffOne1124 Just like Armornone you typed that without thinking. It is an 80s style intro about 80s technology.

  • Man, I sure hope they fired whoever did this beginning. They are so stupid, they don't even realize that most of this stuff has already been done. This is not fringe science. I mean we have Clone sheep, laser surgery, intro fertilization, stealth technology, virtual reality, personal computer( I am on my computer fight now for gosh sake. man, they need to do better research into science.

  • @Armornone it's the 80's, most of that stuf did'nt exist in the 80's ! You totally didn't get it man...

  • @Armornone Hmm Even the title of the video says "80's style" which as you've been told that most of that technology didn't exist then. I bet your kicking yourself right now for posting without thinking about it too much.

  • @Armornone I hope you are being sarcastic.

Because the opening is a way of implying that those things those technologies shown in fringe may actually be very well in the relms of possibility in another 30 years.

  • cool...

  • I can't help but laughting when I see it, it's so retro and great

  • this is so "MacGyverish" lol

  • I was so glad to see this new episode! I also want to point out that the Observers we watching "Back to the Future" from the alternate Universe because Eric Stoltz was on the marquee. Its a lesser known fact the the film was originally shot with Eric Stoltz as Marty Mcfly! They shot 1/3 of the movie before they recast it with Michael J. Fox, in that universe that never happened!

  • @jaynet77 I'm glad you brought that up

  • I love fringe. Olivia Dunham is so freaking hot and Peter Bishop is just pwns the crap out of everyone and Walter Bishop is the smartest guy on Earth. And this Intro rocks too.

  • JUST FUCKİN' AWESOME

  • this is just soooo beyond cool... i was just gobsmacked when they did this...definitely in a good way... and how the hell did they make walter bishop so young and active... gosh.... fringe still manage to keep me amazed... despite the down turn rating.... *frown*

  • epic

  • Best Episode Evah!

  • best episode in fringe...one of the best of all time!Awesome 80's intro idea!

  • niiice

  • There just aren't words to describe how awesome this is

  • This is sooo good

  • cool synthesizerness

  • A marvel of 80's technology!

  • Took me by surprise when I saw it, but very convincing! Made me believe I was back in the 80s.
