Ronan Tynan is such a class act. Im a retired FDNY and i remember him performing this song at the 1st anniversary of 9/11 at Madison Garden. There wasnt a dry eye in the house. I think it is appropriate since part of what happened on that day was just a few miles from the stadium. It is my belief that it serves a reminder that there is something that is bigger then all of us and that is freedom and this is a sheer reflection of that and thank you to all of those who serve in uniform whether its the armed forces or in rescue such as fire and PD.
