don't get me wrong... (i have diabetes type 2) but, there is no such thing in what you're asking... the parties over... stop eating... especially as you get older, eating is not as important as fasting...
@Oxana124 I can HIGHLY recommend HONEY. All natural is the way to go. Americans dont stop to think that their body is going to use everything that it consumes. So second think that double choc cake next time kk?
love all your vidz!!! i am the singer of the band called "2012" and our goal through our music is to better everyone PHYSICALLY by performing live shows and explaining to people about what they could do t ohelp their way of thinking, promoting POSITIVE thinking
Hey Dr Mercola, Would it be a possible for you to recommend what a good diet consists of, structured meal plans for example consisting of everthing which you suggest for good health, generally speaking that is.
IMO... Graze like other animals. We're not meant to whip up gourmet cooked meals like we do. I ALWAYS eat an apple and some type of GREEN vegetable daily. Oatmeal anytime ...throw in raisins, dates, halved almonds if you like. Don't put much thought into "preparing" some spectacular looking meal. Throw some sliced cucumber, sliced tomato and a few lightly steamed asparagus (or raw) on a plate and if you must, arrange it nicely. :o) Begin 2 see food more simply.
Why do you advocate this approach? For those of us who like to eat infrequently and demand a lot of meat and animal products, this doesn't sound so appealing. Do you honestly think snacking on raw vegetables all day is a good idea? When we are no longer digesting, we are repairing and cleansing and so eating less frequently is far superior.
@vooooom I advocate simplifying food when beginning to change your diet b/c the typical western diet is three large meals per day (w/snacking in between). Our society tends 2 believe it has to be something such as "Cordon Bleu on a bed of PlaPla Rice" etc.. When eating shouldn't be so complicated. You don't see other species "preparing" meals in a kitchen as humans do. Human species are hunter/gathers. So, where did you assume that I don't include a form of animal protein? Yes, natural is best.
@vooooom I do believe that eating (notice how you refer to it as "snacking") raw vegetables & fruits during the day is good as well as very appealing. :o) If you picked up 6 grapes, I call that eating grapes. You call that snacking, which assumes this isn't a meal. I also do believe that fasting once a week or so is healthy as well b/c it would follow what would be the natural order of our species.
Makes sense, I assumed you were one of those fruitarian weirdos or something, heh.
We will disagree all day on snacking vs intermittent fasting but I do agree that simplicity is appealing and works well as long as the food is very nutrient-dense.
from the words he uses he insinuates that we should eat only 15g of fructose from fruit because there is so much in processed food. Why not 25g from fruit and no processed food or sugar at all? Just an an observation.
I agree w/you about leaving all processed food out of your mouth. Unfortunately, it's not easy in our culture for everyone to simply stop, which is why he's giving a guideline to follow..He knows most Westerners are inundated with processed foods. :o)
interesting video. one thing i have real problems understanding is why food companies dump really inexpensive food components into their products (i.e. fructose). wouldn't it be cheaper for them to simply NOT add them in, therefore have less ingredients rather than more? i might be sounding a bit simplistic, but doesn't using less ingredients to make food products make their production less expensive? or am i misunderstanding some basic principle of running a business?
They use fructose for consistency and taste matters. Believe me, they'd leave it out to save themselves more money in production if they could. It's all about the profit... not at all about your health. :o)
I have a sweet tooth, could you recommend some healthy alternatives where I won't have to give up sweets all together. Thank you!
