  • Silly Cyclist LOL That's the politest insult that 'silly cyclist' will ever get.

  • Not that cycling on the wrong side of the road is ever a good idea, here is on of the worst spots I can think of given how fast vehicle come onto the bridge.

  • Wrong way cyclists make life on the road more dangerous. They are another hazard in front of you that really should not be there. This is selfishness.

  • people like you make me ashamed to ride a bike, they are bikes not cars so more flexible in approach.

  • @jaymodunn Well, if that's how you ride, then shame on you. That sort of behaviour 'ks it up for the rest of us.

  • @jaymodunn they aren't so flexible that they can approach a road going the wrong way you fool.

  • Careful labeling him a silly cyclist, he hasn't been judged by a jury of his peers on youtube and appeared on sillycyclists.

  • Had a guy do this downhill towards me yesterday. I shouted out "Are you French, mate?!"

  • You had the opportunity to say ANYTHING... and you chose "silly cyclist"? I bet he felt really bad after hearing that! :-D

  • @VespaUK LOL, fair enough. It makes more sense if you've seen the Silly Cyclist series on YouTube. See my comments to no.1 on episode 32.

  • Way out of order here, its a BUS LANE so he is in the wrong, if he as difficulty ridding southbound then I would advise him to push the bike across it. C.Mikey could have possibly collided with him..

  • he's not from UK :)

  • oh wait, it's a buslane style one....forget my last comment

  • Do cycle lanes actually have directions? I'm not much of a cyclist but i always see folks going both ways....I thought that was the point?

  • @svengalie Yeah, that's one I'm not quite 100% sure on. On road cycle lanes I think are almost always only in the direction of the normal traffic, unless specifically signed as contra-flow/both ways. Shared use/pavement cycle lanes might be both ways?

  • @CyclingMikey pavement cycle lanes are contra flow

  • @svengalie I live in California, USA...bike lanes are one-way [with the flow of traffic] unless they are marked & striped for 2 way traffic. Bike lanes that allow 2-way traffic are usually "multi-use paths" and can ALSO be used by pedestrians/skaters, etc. Bicycles go with the flow of traffic, otherwise, left & right turns would be confusing & hazardous.

  • @svengalie Shared used and off-road routes can be (an mostly are) bi-directional. Anything on-road has to follow the flow of traffic unless a counter-flow traffic regulation order is put in place. The latter will *always* be signposted.

  • i can understand why he probably did it, cycling southbound on that bridge is not fun

  • tres stupide.

  • I swear I read...bus lane......so wait, he's on a bike, going the wrong way down a bus lane...dutchy had too much weed? XD

  • Silly salmon, perhaps one for the Silly Cyclist series
