I think if James and Lars had put their ego's aside and let both Kirk and Jason influence more of the music in it's entirety we wouldn't have gotten to the point were we had such a garbage album like St.Anger with the band struggling to find a sound that wasn't "stock" (according to Lars) and lyrics that were so bad it's laughable.
