this MKV golf has the 2.5 5 cylinder engine

it's non-turbocharged

whereas the GTI is a 4-cylinder turbocharged car.

based on numbers, they are both around 7 seconds from 0-60 (mph)

from what i've heard though, the 2.5 had a mean torque curve, but the GTI pulls harder in the higher gears (mostly cause of the turbo).

Although you can make the GTI go faster for cheaper (there are tons of aftermarket performance parts compared to the 2.5)

If you're planning on doing a turbo on one of these guys... you're lookin to haul some serious ass.

@djmarkian it almost literally is. Same bore size. same piston stroke. Lambo is a v10 5l rab is a inline 5 2.5l. VW owns lambo. There are only Subtle differences in the interchangeable parts. i.e. displacement, cams, injectors... if you do some research, the rabbit can max out at like 230/240hp NA. the lambo makes 500. Give 60 hp or so to lambo for having a bajillion dollars to work with and 60+ years of racing heritage and id say you have half a gallardo there.

@txtmsgromance According to an article in EuroTuner, a cat back exhaust does almost nothing for these cars in terms of performance. At least not when done alone.

hope they make that for the new golf sound so sick and a VF supercharger y have a 2010 golf sprotline and awesome just need more hp but the handle like it`s on rail. The interior look`s like a audi very nice .veedub FTW
