mostly with brushes people use a snare with snares so this sounds a little odd

i wouldnt go as far as saying mostly people play brushes with snares on..i think it depends on the music but if you look at steve smith he plays brushes most of the time with his snare off, or clayton cameron or even jeff hamilton- they all play with their snares off most of the time
