Very nice video ,how old is the plant? Its been outside 5 years - but how big was it when u plant it in the earth?

@SEIKOHGIKEN It was a house plant that was in a friends place for 20 years. They moved away and couldn't take it with them so she gave it to me. It had grown quite a bit since I planted it out in the garden

Must have acclimated.

@MonicaTheMad I have seen them last a few winters outdoors unprotected in our mildest growing regions, but a cold snap always ends up killing them. They are not very cold tolerant at all.
