That's a misconception. While some things about the F-22A are sensitive (sustained turn rate, ect.) and aren't oft told in public by military officials, but it's not classified. You can see yourself. Pick up a copy of Jane's Defense and look at aviation websites. You can probably find even better source material than the game developers had (because it's 5 years later).

Now some of the technical specifications like RCS are classified, but you can extrapolate realistic values with math..

okay the first scenrio with the MIG-29 turning and shooting down the F-22 would not work

First the F-22 would fire one AIM-120 and change position based what direction the MiG goes, essentialy staying behind him

then the F-22 would close to AIM-9X range and fire

at no point would the MiG able to outurn F-22

The reason why America has the most powerful military is because we have the best economy in the world. The GDP of America is worth around 14 trillion dollars. The next richest country in the world has a GDP of about 3 trillion dollars. Economic might is real power. Not enough people understand that though. Our huge economy allows us to spend over 400 billion dollars every year on our military. And that's still less than 5% of GDP. Whereas the Soviets had to spend 50% of their GDP to compete.

And Russia's military is a lot smaller than it was during the Cold War. So there's no way they could defeat the United States in a conventional war. And neither could China. The entire world spends about a trillion dollars on defense spending. And America alone makes up about half of that. And if we really wanted to we could spend way more on our military and our production would go through the roof just like in WWII but even moreso now with our much larger economy. Economics = power/security.

actually if you look at the video, the MiG-29 has a hard time shooting down the F-22 because of the stealth and the F-22 actually has no problems against the MiG.

The Mig-29 would have no chance at all. It would be getting locked long before the mig could even figure there was another jet in the sky.

It would probably start taking missiles from an F-22 from about 2-3 miles away.

Also, a mig would have a terribly hard time getting a lock, what you can't see you can't hit.

I'd say 100 times through, a f22 would win 100-100 times.

F-22 can see a mig about 180 miles away and with the new AIM-120D it can engage an enemy at about 80 miles. Bottem line all Russian made aircraft will not survive.
