Pete Pete Pete!! That is one Bad ass blister! If you have any moleskin.. it is the best thing to cover a blister so you can wear your shoes with minimal pain. Also put it on next time you wear those boots!! OUCH...:( TJ
The lid, you can swap the one with a metal drawer knob, and then its oven safe. Did that here with one of mine, same pan. Ouch on the blister, feel for ya there.
I think the spelling is "shepherd's." You need a French "cocotte." I ship everywhere! These "Dutch ovens" have grooved lids so you can put ice cubes in them to make tripe à la môde de Caen correctly. They go on stovetops, on the hearth or in the oven. Been married so long, I'm on my fourth one! Uprated.
@petermohlman Don't be embarrassed, just use a dictionary! I have a local source for cookware closeouts, some very old but of course never used, original labels on them. I ship everywhere. I will try to find a clip and send it your way, to give you an idea. I love quality stuff which is useful, maybe antique even, which could be scrapped in a pinch! There used to be a scrap metal yard next door, but the land was too valuable so now it's housing. xo
i aint had shepherds pie since i was in school i love that movie best parts where kevin costner shoots that guy in the forehead best thing fer a pair of boots like that is another owner i once had a pair that wouldnt break in n after a cpl weeks i gave em away
@petermohlman i believe after 10 yrs them boots would be at the resale shop ive got 1 o them cast iron pots like that n i use mine in the oven with the knob on it n aint had no problems with it mine came from sams id have to look n see iffn it got a plastic knob on it
