  • What a great song, haven't heard it in ages! Reminds me of when I used to DJ back in the 80's. Good times!

  • Remember dancing to this at Club Tropicana Beach in Luton in the early 80s!

  • The groove, the musicianship, the singing...and it just keeps building & building! One of my all time favourites.

  • Great job, johnnyleith! Been looking for this, but couldn´t really remember, who sang it.

Thanks to JazzFm´s Mike Vitti I know now... Cheers!

  • Julia is BACK! She is performing at Blair Mansion in Silver Spring, MD Friday October 17 - tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

  • Julia used to live here in the DC area with her band Mike on keyboards and the infamous Stan Sargeant on bass. Stan went on to play with stars from Johnny Guitar Watson, Barry Manilow, Kako Matsui, you name it, even NBC's Leno for about 5 years. But where's Julia? Anyone know????? Please let me know...

  • Hadn't heard this for years, then I heard shenelle and American Boy and this song came racing into my head !

  • The single version of this was just about the first record I ever bought.

  • Johnnyleith - you da man!! Love this went it came out, and it's STILL gives me goosebumps!

  • Cheers! It's a hot to trot track! :)

  • Great track! Thanks for posting.. awesome groove.

  • When this came out, early 1984 there were some real funky songs in the UK chart at the same time with such great production & instrumentation particularly if you like your big jazzy horn sections! There was this classic,'A Night In New York' - Elbow Bones & the Rackateers, 'Spice of Life'- the Manhattan Transfer, More More More - Carmel & 'Straight Ahead' - Kool & the Gang for example.1 of the best periods in pop music in my opinion!Such great musicanship missing from much of todays chart music!

  • I love this song, i still have the 7 inch, although no record player to play on anymore :(

  • Hearing again this has made up for what has been a shit day. Thank you.

  • THANK YOU JOHNNYLEITH! Been searching for this song for ages also.

  • I have this on import too but I have the cover with her picture in the front cover. When I would dj old school classics on sunday. I would do this as the last song of the night.

  • bought this in 1984 , the day after the night before...

  • Nice one...I've also been looking for this tune for ages. Superb arrangement and groove. My vinyl copy lost long ago, great to be able to enjoy it again.

  • You are welcome! I think this track is underrated and if released now would be a hit!

  • I have been searching and searching for this song for ages - great! Thank you Johnnyleith
