Now this is the powerpuff girls I grew up with not this new crap where they have weapons and the battles are very boring -sigh- wish they made it to this day would've been good to see them in there teenage years and how much trouble the professor would be in trying to teach them.

This only get a 5.9 out of 10 on Imdb and a 63% rating on Rotten Tomatoes? And the series only got a 7.1 out of 10 on Imdb. First off, I don't think you can judge a kids show so harshly (if you do it's because it's already so dang good that your expectations for it are high). Secondly, the style, voice actors, humor (pop culture references), and animation make it a pretty damn good series if you ask me. Powerpuff Girls deserve an A+ for AMAZING. This really is sugar, spice, and everything nice.

@FilledSpace a 7.1 on IMDB is pretty damn good. Most shows don't get past the 5/6 scale. Movies included. The insanely good shows that don't appeal mostly to children get into the 8 and 9's. the movie rating seems appropriate too. As much as I love this movie it is a children's movie and the plot and character development is that of a childrens movie. Adults and teens use imdb.It's not sophisticated enough to get a super high rating. I love the show and movie anyway so whatever.

Yeahh, all the new cartoons should be replaced with reruns of Dexter, Ren and Stimpy, Ed Edd n Eddy, the Powerpuff Girls, and all of the other cartoons with real, creative animation instead of that generic Flash-based stuff. Cartoons with writing that doesn't consist of a bunch of non sequiturs. And of course, cartoons with really cool theme music. :)
